Thank you for showing us the result of too many concussions. Anything to add here other than your Ass umption? I’m personally a fan of easy and long lasting, as that’s Toyotas motto right? People are using extra screens for all types of tech in their cars. Why fix things that don’t need fixing.

One could argue with your assessment of the 3g, my iPhone three had way better reception than my 5g 2023 14…

We aren't talking about mechanical components that have had over a century of evolution behind them. We're talking about the infancy of touch screen tech that leaves a lot to be desired in todays world. One quick search on this forum and you'll find a whole lot of dysfunctional factory screens. And when your HVAC is tied into it, it definitely needs fixing.
