so the only option is to get the chrome and paint? how do they attach without the panel ? has anyone tried other toyota models such as pickups? thanks

D, they attach through the holes in the door shell on the inner window. I attached them with no issue on my last build. Don't have to use the door panel to attach the inner belts.

Never sourced or experimented with other models. Seemed like money and time ahead to just spend an afternoon fiddling with painting the inner chrome ones and smoking some ribs or whatnot..

nice they just snap in... I need to do this. mmmm ribs...

They have metal tabs and you run them through the holes in the doors. There are white plastic clips as well, but I just used the metal tabs made into the belt assy.

These holes..

Great thread, just a few numbers for those of us who still like the chrome. I ordered the outter felts #75710-90a02,75720-90a02,75730-90a01,75740-90a01, a bit $$ . Some how I had ordered the all black felts w/o chrome,(so many different numbers out there). I ordered the inner felts recently but looking at the felts w/o chrome it seems they might just work on the inside,I'll just have to test one as soon as I get to that point. Thanks for all the info....gil

I replace mine when I just have a door shell, its easier, but the front glass will flex enough to get it done. The front ones are much easier than the back to install with the glass in. No real trick, just lining it up and get the holes and the tab/clip in the right positions.

I had a guy at a body shop show me how to do it for $20..

On the rear doors, the smaller windows that are fixed... Do I need to remove the middle brace to get these out? Best I can tell the window track holds them in place, is this right?
