Man this sucks. My faith in the WIX brand just went to ZERO.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the WIX rep's positions is: "It is OK to know that our product is at fault, it's a whole other subject as to taking responsibility for the fall out"

I am sure that there are a whole lot of folks on this forum alone that use WIX products. I have no beef with the product itself, it's a fluke. I sure have a problem with how they handle it. I am guessing there are a whole lot that feel the same way. You never know what a grass roots movement may yield.

I formerly used WIX filters in the shop. I'll be looking at other brands.

Sorry to hear of the problem. If Wix doesn't do anything I would recommend speaking with an attorney and like Rice said, I believe, look around the web for other Wix failures.

Thanks a bunch!! I'm going to give them a chance to make it right before it gets that far but I really appreciate your willingness to help if it does need to escalate to that point. People like yourself are what makes MUD such a fantastic community. I sent several pictures of the faulty filter to one of the higher ups in the technical department as requested Saturday morning , they're supposed to call me back after he has a chance to look at them on Monday.

Here's a diagram of the filter and the part missing is the one in the picture labeled up front safety bypass valve

Blessing in disguise?

It'll be a painful process to get compensation, but this could end up being a good thing overall.

Man, there's a complete lq9 pullout with harness in Charlotte for 1500 bux. I'm so glad I was too busy with work stuff to be impulsive and buy it....otherwise youd have a replacement inline 6.....
