Title basically says it all, but here's a little more detail. I need to get some steel to fab a tire carrier for the back of my camper. I need something like 2 to 4 feet of 2x4 box and then something like 6 feet or so of 1.5" square or round. Where is a good place in the Bozeman area to get that?

I went there, Pacific Steel, to get steel for a trailer and they are a great company. They have a lot of stock.

Check out their scrap rack outside for smaller pieces.
Seconding this. I've found some good stuff in the scrap rack for smaller projects.

x2 on the scrap rack!

Is the scrap rack discounted or free?
I believe it is sold at the scrap price. My experience has been that they are quite generous about the pricing though. (ie: 32" piece was "measured" as 24" when calculating the weight)

I have bought a lot of steel (and aluminum) out of Pacific's scrap bins, mainly at their Kalispell branch. Definitely not sold at scrap price (currently in the 8-12 cent/lb range) but for sure discounted from what you'd pay to have them cut a piece for you. Be prepared for sticker shock though, 2x2x0.120 square tubing is running around $10/foot right now.
