One of these. I like the way it creates head room. Should fairly easy to make weather and mosquito proof

I'm working on an idea for a small hard sided pop up. Something big enough to sleep in, prepare a meal in, and that's about it.
I want the body of it to be about the same width as the 40, and the track to be the same.
Won't be as capable as my camp trailer that can go just about anywhere the 40 can go, but if Chris, Matt and myself can ever make the Alaska trip a reality, it'll be nice to have a dry place to hide if we have a day or two of completely garbage weather
I like this idea, for me I was thinking just big enough to sleep in, cook kitchen in the back, think off road teardrop.
I'm going to explore making a sleeping platform in the 4 door 40. If I got serious about solo travel might even take a back seat out.
Or maybe something like this, I already have all the seats out so a sleeping platform would work.
Just trying to get everything in there might be tuff.
And it’s hard to figure out what to do with 39” spare tire 🤪

I feel your pain!
For SAS I stay 9 days with 2 travel days on each end. 🤠
A Wyoming trip I would want more or less the same.
Not to say everyone has to do that.

Now you have me thinking about how I only have one life to live, and living with no regrets.
That escalated quickly.

Hmmmmmm.

That’s what I’m talking about 😎

Wyoming BDR has been mentioned in the forum a bit, but don’t see it in any specific WY threads.
Here’s a nice old couple in a heep filming their trip from the Colorado border to Montana (I assume, I don’t watch it all yet).

Also saw lots of ‘official opening bdr’ vids might be worth checking out.

If it wasn't for bad luck, these people wouldn't have any at all!!!

That looks like that could be fun
Yep, long haul, but lots to see if you’ve got the time. Ended up watching both parts this guy made. They ended up skipping some of the harder parts because they were pulling a trailer and the mud was slick.

I kinda dig the point to point idea. I fell asleep last night part way through the first video. If they lose one more thing, I might lose my shıt.

Uh oh, you better just stop watching.

I also like the point to point thing but I think I’d miss my wife. Definitely miss the grandkids.

Dude....

Before I fell asleep, they had lost their Rotopax with gas. Their Winch controller. Then the ding dong keys for the trailer. YCMTSU

I hope in video 2 they learn how to charge a sex toy battery with a bush made generator using the alternator from the J**p and a bicycle they found in the weeds. Ironically that's where they will have lost the keys and the passenger door to the vehicle while taking a dump is when they find the bike parts.

I kinda feel MTV should scoop them up for a reality show.

Not sure I would miss the wife, for sure I would miss the Dog 🤪 😂

You are going to be disappointed, spoiler alert.

🤣 I snorted at that.

Completely unrelated. ¾" air fittings are a bitch to find.

The dude she tells you not to worry about. And you.... 😆

A standard ¼" industrial interchange quick coupler doesn't look quite right next to the big fella.

Kinda want to put it in a sock and beat whoever lost the winch controller with it.
