Whats the best why to remove and replace seals on a 1973 transfer case?

I have a 1973 FJ40 that Im swapping the original 3 speed for a TH350. While I have the tranfer case out I want to reseal / new gaskets

Removing the old seals first normally is the way to go.

Get a shop manual and a rebuild kit and get on down the rabbit hole. It likely needs to be done anyway.
