My interaction with my trucks has always been seen from the point of view of my academic training (good or bad).

I pulled the 60 out today under the sounds of thunder clouds, to make room for my 80 in garage, and I'm always so impressed how the 60 looks outside, how it contrasts so diametrically with the natural environment in angular ways.

The smile I get from "viewing" my 60 from slightly afar is always satisfying.... God how I love this truck in all it's manifestations....

And preferably one that works at either a Toyota Dealership or Sushi Bar or owns a liquor store.

Aside from that, Onur, your truck is beautiful. It has that perfect 'lean and level' look that you really only get with minimalist or stock bumpers and mild lift and biggie smalls tires.

Very nice.

Beno, my 62 would like to "hook-up" with your 60! She doesn't care if she get's tossed out at 9 a.m.; unfortunately, my 80 also sits in the garage getting a head job at the moment!

It is actually listing to the rear since it has no power train in it.

When the engine/tranny/xfer are installed, it does have a slight rake which I am ok with.

This truck will be the cream puff truck.

It lived in NorCal, and was an SMF truck... I am grateful to Marty Boersma who was the original owner that he allowed me continue taking care of it in a classic NorCal way.

:)

Interesting summation. If needed I could sell the 80 and never look back, well maybe a little over-the-shoulder glance. I cannot conceive of ever selling either of the running 60s.

I brought a HJ60 when the children where ankle bitters and that truck never had any problems except the radiator needing replacing 340.000 . It was a noisy POS sitting on the speed limit with the vinyl trim and rubber floor mats but I really loved the old girl. I replaced that with a 1992 1HDT 80 series with all the modern comfits and for some reason I never felt the same way about the Sahara. There is something about the 60 series being not to big it just fits in with the environment better. The 60's are tough as nails and ride like a buck board but they are very dependable in the outback or carting the family on holidays. :)

Well, the carby and the dizzy just got here from JimC.

Nice work Jim. Thank you!

Small pieces of the puzzle coming together.

Beno, that carb looks so cool...I just took my injectors out of my 80 in for service today and it's just not the same feeling...

Why build the head in the living room when your garage looks like a Toyota dealership? Oh, wait a minute...
