Tried the BFH yet?

I don't think they make one big enough. Trying to figure out a way so the exhaust won't rattle against the skid. It's really annoying when you pull up to a light and it's loud as hell. The exhaust hits on the Tcase skid and the cross bar.

put some heat wrap around the exhaust at that spot and it might provide enough cushion to quiet things down

Move back to La.......mud doesn't bend skid plates like CO rocks do.
Funny! I removed about 5 pounds of swamp mud while I had it on the lift. I know it came from Louisiana due to the shells stuck in the fossil like mud.

Good idea! Because of them rubbing together, the exhaust is wearing a hole in the skid. Where it meets on the cross bar, it is wearing a hole in the exhaust pipe. And since all my cats are shot, I'm thinking of just ripping the whole system out. Then I'd route things differently and tuck it all high up.
All it takes is money!

Cats are so overrated. Just rip em out and throw in some long tube headers and URD y pipe.

I've had codes P0420 and P0430 for over a year now. I have an Ultra Gauge so I just reset it once it comes on. It's just annoying. I'd like to rip it all out but yes, us hippies in Denver have to do emission testing.

Get them cleaned. New ones from magnaflow are 179 a piece I think... If they even still have them. They were for a Tacoma I think or something like that.

What about buying a set of cats, and also a set of cat deletes, or what ever y'all FJC's call it. When emissions come around. Put on the cats, Pass then put straight pipe( when compared to cats). For the rest of the year to save them. Then switch again when it comes time again.

Unless emissions is randomly done. Then never mind. ;)

Thanks Cody Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD

Toyota`s as a whole don`t like anything except OEM when it comes to emissions O2`s ,AFM`s,AAM`s ,CAT`s.
if you try to delete ECM will most prob go to limp mode drive like sheet poor MPG trans won`t shift properly VSC will disable .

Do a LOT of research before putting a liquid wrench or saws all to your exhaust.
most if not all states now require that if you vehicle came equipped with some type of emission it has to pass the law at that time of mfg. age & or milage is no longer a factor .
so check your local requirements before cause you just might have to replace everything your removed just to get that little swindle sheet in the windshield:)

Do they actually hook up a hose to the exhaust to measure, or do they just check the ecu for ready status?

yep fixin to find out on my 80 but they don`t do emission in my area.
yes 5 gas up the pipe no cats it won`t pass or at least there are supposed 2

Paul, are you talking getting a brake tag in Louisiana? Hell, they don't even make you blow the horn where I go, much less check the gaseous emissions. Most places are just as bad.

Where I'm at is extremely strict. They check everything including ecu readiness, gas cap test, every light and if you have a small crack in the windshield on the driver side, they can turn you down. I can't tell you how many times I've been turned down because of a check engine light. It gets really aggravating. I'm surprised they haven't started hooking a hose to the exhaust yet, but I'm sure that is next.
