I apologize as this is borderline tech but I tried searching and I either get 300 hits or nothing so I thought I would ask.

This dash pad (see photo) does not fit an 84 or an 85 4Runner unless you change out the steering cluster pad as well. Does it fit 86 through 89 or 87 through 89? Also, what year pickup does it fit? The same?

I know I've read this info somewhere but I can't find it now.

Need to refurbish the dash pad before installing it, then painting it black. gotta do away with the dangerous metal dash that was in the truck

That looks exactly like the pad that's in my '87. Not sure what was in '86.

89-93 pickup...

I think you're mistaken. The dash totally changed in '89, very different. And are you seriously painting your dash that bright red? To each his own, but dayum that's nasty. I have a factory red dash now, I hate it. I have all the parts in storage to swap everything to gray.

Yes 86 is the question and I'm not sure which dash type was in one even though I owned an 86 SR5 4Runner at one time. I also thought the pickups changed at the end of 89.

:D want to sell the red one......I need one for my 84

89-93 pickup, that one's in my 89. putting an 85 dash in my 87 as we type!:D

no way man. those years didnt have the dish on top, and there was no center vent in the dash.

the center vent was part of the instument cluster trim.

that looks like the some one thats in my 86

if they go to 89, it would be early 89, of the second gen

I will *give* it to you. In fact, you can have the entire interior. I don't have the seats anymore, but I think I have the rest of the red stuff. Gaaad it's puke ugly. WTF was Mr. Toyoda thinking with this color?

And I've never seen an 84-88/9 dash without center vents... I want a pic!

I think what Wristy meant is the center vents aren't part of the dash pads, they're in a bezel below the pad, right above the HVAC controls. Also, the pads in that series were one piece from pillar-to-pillar.

:grinpimp:You gotz a deal.....let me know when you want shipping $$$$$. ..I wil have tp paint it or something . Well just some of the dash stuff

I don't know what the hell Toyota was thinking when they went w/ that maroon interior. That dash pad is from an 84-88 Pick up or an 84-89 4Runner.

Lets see what KLF comes up with. I will have to paint the stuff cause red...well[:D its fugly but intact and that is all I needQUOTE=WarDamnEagle;4348148]I'll sell you the one in the photo but you need a matching console pad to go with it.[/QUOTE]

How much of the interior do you want?

My red dash pad is in good shape, not perfect. There is a minor crack just starting at the far end of the "dish" section. It's still in the truck now, but I suppose I could swap it out easily enough.

And I must have about 5 of those bezels that go around the radio.

All I really need is the pad, passenger side A -piller trim and the very back passenger side panel..you know with the storage compartment.:) Then my inside is complete......finally
