Fetcher (trusty Car hauler) needs a vacay man. It’s been busy all summer hauling gold man. Looks like the barn is becoming the dog pound for cruisers. I maybe interested in adopting a mutt or two if the brim overflows🤣🤣. There is good Karma at the barn Jim. There is reason the dogs find ya.

CD...I hear ya man. I'm just minding my own business and good dudes keep hitting me up on these deals. I swear on my family that I do not comb CL or the classifieds here on MUD. It's like the twilight zone over here :)

Another fine day at the barn yesterday. Jimmy picked up his new wheels and mounted them up. I think they look spectacular

Jimmy was also hard at work getting his newly powdercoated bumpers into place. Here is is making some room for the rear bumper...

The ARB bumper is in place. Notice the cool TEQ replacement badging by @NLXTACY

Meanwhile, @FishTown (Nick) was replacing his TRE’s on his awesome white 60 while Jimmy played government employee and supervised...

Finally, here’s Nick and Jeff getting the alignment dialed in and finishing up the job

I don’t have any pics of this, but afterwards, we took the jet skis to the lake ad rode some waves until near sundown. All and all, a very productive day 👍🏼

See you in a few hours to do it all over again fellas!

Epic wrenching weekend. @CenTXFJ60, @CaptClose, @SipLife, @Cowboy45 helped get a friend’s (@truxsgarage) was dad get into the addiction. Two 80s becoming one.

Donor 1997 40th Lexus triple locked that had a bent frame due to a front end hit (driver was DWS, driving while stoned). Drive train survived.

Recipient was a 1997 Toyota Fzj80 unlocked with blown headgasket and siezed engine. PO stole the good bits before palming it off. PO also had not mentioned that the engine threw a rod bearing through the #1 oil pan.

Game plan.

Move donor drive train, wiring harness, doors, rear hatch, tail gate, windows, and interior into recipient. Would have been easier to get a recipient that was more complete minus drive train. What’s the fun in that.

@CenTXFJ60 put his tractor to good use. It’s like having another 20 hands to help. It was hotter than hell. Jimmy stayed cool for sure while the other grease monkeys got acquainted with groin swamp.

Mighty proud of my boys @Cowboy45 and @SipLife putting in the blood and sweat. Clearly a step change in “anything is doable...with mind and heart” and a tractor.

Jimmy’s barn is truly a magic place. Well equipped with tools, the best of friends, and heaps of generosity. Good Karma. @CenTXFJ60, thanks for sharing this place with us all.

Pics say it all.

@truxsgarage and his dad fed us well as we slogged away

We even had a deer or two show up. While we wrenched.

Recipient looking a bit more civilized. @SipLife and @Cowboy45 got a great dose of drive train work. They learned about the Cavazos brand of interiors. @CaptClose does a wicked interior. He as a few threads on his deeds.

The only words I have are ‘holy ****.’

What IS that totally unique pool? It’s really awesome!

Ha, that’s actually a cistern built in the 1940’s. The windmill keeps it full of water and then it supplied a trough over by the barn to water the cattle on this section of the ranch. I resurfaced it, added a pool pump and now use it to cool off and irrigate my yard.

So, do any of you all work for a living?

Solid work as always Jim!

Some I know work just when they have to. You know who you are🤣. The rest are weekend warriors wondering what would be if it became a day job. A fleeting castrating thought before reality kicks in.

Wish I could do this for a living. Problem is I’m way tooooo slow and my squad requires a larger overhead (more $). Which is why I have a day job :).
