General city driving, 35s, timing @ 6 degrees BTDC. Not really trying to conserve. 12.5mpg.
Tomorrow I'll do a Tahoe trip. Maybe I'll report back.

necro post...

yesterday while driving to work i noticed the fuel gauge was just below the 1/4 tank mark with no fuel light. it took 18.xx gallons but i only had 200 miles on the clock. does this sound normal? im running 33" km2's without a lift. (just havnt installed it yet) from what i read is that the light should come on whe theres 5 gallons +- left, correct? with those numbers im getting around 11 mpg. is this normal? i currently emailed cdan for cap and rotor and will be replacing the plugs. i have no idea how they look right now...

light comes on at or below E, usually below, when there is roughly 5 gallons left. dont forget to correct mileage for increase in tire size, for you i think its an extra 5%. 11 is pretty bad i think in warm climates/summer when the fuel blend is more advantageous

I have the Hybrid Synergy Drive sticker on the back of my 80 so I'm sure that I'm getting around 35MPG now. I don't even bother measuring MPG anymore, that's how confident I am in this technology.

I should put one of those on. Maybe mrs surfpig will feel better about driving it.

Round trip for that was almost 15mpg. that was just mrs surfpig and me on a little day trip.

Two weeks ago we went camping up HWY4, whole family, pretty loaded down. A little bit of dirt road wheeling. About 11mpg. One fillup had that danged 10% ethanol gas though, so that may have had a significant impact.

Avg 18 almost stock but snorkel equipped
How is this possible? Is your timing advanced? What ?

I have a new 4.5l and new trans in my LX with 35 mud terrains and a 2.5" lift. My egr system is new and no codes. No vaccum leaks either. I get 12.5 with maybe 1mpg variance on 87 octane.

I've been more around 10.9 in mixed, mostly city, driving lately. Just replaced O2 sensors and cats so I am curious if it will make a difference on upcoming tanks. I'd be happy to get to 12 in mixed driving

I get 13 mpg consistently with 295s, riding in town and slowly in woods with A/C crankin.
