Changed out the sparks. Always amazed at how a new set of sparks makes the engine purr.
One of these things is not like the other..
My damn obsessive need to clean stuff. Even stuff I’m throwing out. It’s a character flaw.
How many times around? Mine has started at least its third lap (aka 240k miles or so). When I bought it in 1991 it had 35k on the odometer... which I'm certain was at least 135k (but who knows for sure). The funny thing is that it doesn't matter how many miles are on parts that are no longer there.
Aside from having the carb looked at for a second time it’s ready to drive and play around with. Spent the day shining up the paint. Came out pretty nice. I think it’s a great patina ride. First two pics are a few weeks back.

Got my new welder set up and got my MIG mojo workin'. Welded up the holes in the floor and gas tank cover, and added some metal to the worn-down edges of the transmission hump. Last day of summer break with just me and my kid tomorrow, and some family time this weekend, then the girl goes to camp next week. LET THE REASSEMBLY BEGIN!
I've been searching for a good bikini top that would fit my custom roll cage. Posted up in the forum and @AZMoonshadow replied about a top on SOR. I ordered it a couple weeks ago and it showed up last night. Was super easy to install and for the most part fits perfect. I just need to figure out a solution for the middle tie down strap as my main bar in the roll cage is to close to the drives seat for the strap to reach. I'm sure its nothing a few well placed zip ties wont fix

Finally fixed the windshield washer.
I rebuilt the rusted out stock pump a few years ago but it still looked like it had a bad prostate so got a submersible and dropped it in the stock reservoir and made a new cap to hold it.
Now have water pressure.

I washed mine last night! Drove it to work today, it's going to be a toasty ride home this afternoon as it is nearly 100* today.
Good thing we have those kick vents to keep us cool. Oh wait...
Just hope you vacuumed the floor before you open those vents at speed.
If you had those cute kids stand there the whole time it is a shoe-in for a winner.
