My 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited was stolen from my driveway this morning in broad daylight.

Congratulations!!!!!!! Now you can focus on the 40!

J.K., That sucks really.

My 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited was stolen from my driveway this morning in broad daylight.
So it looks like I may be investing in my 78 fj40 earlier than anticipated. The insurance money may go towards a Howell fuel injection system, lift kit, OEM wheels and tires and a quick repaint and reupholster. .

Pure suck... but... a silver lining. .

Man sorry to hear about the jeep being stolen.

Car theft is super high up here in Anchorage. I believe there were over 3k care thefts in 2017!!!! The 40 stays in the garage, kill switch, oh and this thing called a clutch and stick helps too.

Replaced the wiring to the rear lights and the sub-harness that runs across the bib, thereby eliminating the last of the wiring hack-jobs done by the original owner. Proper wire and terminals supplied by @Coolerman .

Wow, nothing so gratifying as complacent one, that thing looks amazing. I did relocate my brake warning light from below wheel to right of the cluster and got my GPS mounted in an empty hole next to cig lighter, small but satisfying... cheers matt

A/C... Spare tire... :D

I've not used a spare tire in 27 years... with onboard air it's practically obsolete.

Looking good :D almost makes me want to go back to red... blue is in the front runner. Stock is so far gone it doesn't matter where it began.

I honestly prefer blue, but the red is growing on me. A/C is very necessary, here in the Austin Area. I prefer to run with a top...helpx differentiate her from the other General Purpose vehicles. Onboard Air would be an option...but I like the look of the spare hanging off the back. Also, I did not mention....Big Alternator and second battery. I used to install Car Audio (professionally) back in the day, so a crazy stereo and some other creature comforts will be on the list too.

;) still carry a spare too. Need to have something to absorb a rear end impact... tub won't budge.

hey complacent one, is that OEM 'freedom red' (turn it up!) It looks like something slightly different, or maybe I've never seen freedom red that freshly applied. Nice job. My first cruiser was red (before the rust bomb went off) so I have a soft spot red... cheers, matt

It is "SUPPOSED" to be "Freeborn Red" Much more shine to it being a base/clear as opposed to single stage. Honestly, I would prefer straight body and original paint...but cannot really afford that. Top does not quite match the tub, but she looks damn good to me. One day I will find one and completely restore myself...welding, bodywork, paint...soup to nuts, but for now...this one will be my daily. My daily equates to about 5k miles per year...woooohooooo!!

PS...
I would trade for that blue, like you have, in a heartbeat!!. Love that GPS mount, who needs a cigarette lighter?!?!?.

I got the bed rack back from powder coating and installed. Later this week I hope to mount the RTT.

Is your RTT the full length of the rack? If not, it might have been nice to keep the rack portion a bit more forward (not the full length of the bed) so you can fit taller items toward the tailgate in a pinch. Otherwise, do you think you'll leave the rack installed full time or take it out on occasion? I haven't had a pickup in about 5 years, the 4Runner has ended up serving most of the truck duty but a 45 is very compelling.
