My daughter is totally hooked... even more so at 8. Bennett Grace doesn't have a chance :D

I mounted the ground trigger for my under hood courtesy light.

Started my turbo install on my 42. The electrical is the parts that scared me the most haha. Had a buddy come wire up my 24v-12v step down for the gauges. Once this was done i was crazy motivated to get this rolling after having it all sit in the garage for 7 months.

LuckyDog, curious which DBW pedal you are using ?
Cheers
Steve
I got a 2013 Tahoe 5.3 and 6L80 trans. Got the Tahoe pedal with it but there is no reasonable way to make that one fit so I located a late model Camaro pedal that is supposed to be compatible electronically. I'm getting close to being able to wire it up and test (maybe another week..). I can share pix and part numbers if its any help.

Correct me if needed (or not). The 3B diesel puts out about 90 hp,
How much more do you get with a 3BT? I've always wondered about that cause now I have 165 hp 2F but always wanted a diesel just not sure about the HP drop.

Old sayin... “It’s the small things that count”... read: all I can afford right now!

I almost tossed this old toolbox from PO... rusted mess! Cut out the bottom and replaced with wood - sanded, primed and painted... won’t win any awards but it’s a place to stow stuff :grinpimp:

Yesterday at work a couple of the younger guys were talking about a 2,000 Chevy LS6.0 that one of them was going to go pick up. The other said the guy should sell the engine to me since I've been looking so long. So for $1000 I got a delivered 98K engine with harness. The seller kept the throttle body, but that shouldn't be too hard to replace.

I also am working on figuring out how to mount a flywheel as the gm trucks supposedly never got manuals. I'll be using an SM465.

Yesterday it was over 50* F, today it's 20 and lots of lake effect snow in the forecast. Glad the engine got here before the snow.

Just got done with some fuel tank open heart surgery. It gave me considerable pause but I finally worked up the nerve to install a Tanks Inc. in-tank fuel pump into my primary fuel tank.

I’m running two fuel tanks in my truck with a dedicated in-tank pump in each tank.

I welded a modified Tanks Inc. recess bucket between the two tank baffles and I’m happy with the results. I did have to bend the fuel sender float arm a bit to clear but otherwise went off without a hitch. Now to have it pressure tested and powder coated.

Hey 69LC. The 2005 and 2006 SSR had the 6.0 and a stick. The clutch flywheel setup in them kind of suck so I went with the Corvette Z06 setup. Any 6.0 Corvette clutch and flywheel setup should bolt on.

From the research of the last two days and Parts non-availability there seems to be something different about the 99-00 6.0s. Hopefully not too expensive to deal with.

Just got done modifying the tub to accept late-style door stays in anticipation of upgrading to ‘75+ doors this spring.

Not the most fun I’ve ever had. I had hoped to just carefully enlarge the hole and drill for the mounting bolts without damaging the paint, but it was not to be. Toyota spot welded angled reinforcing brackets in a very inaccessible spot that had to be removed in order to mount the new stays.

A little MIG action, some grinding, and drilling saw to that.

I’ll have to patch paint (obviously) but I’m nontheless glad to have this item checked off my laundry list.

...now on to the door wiring loom conduit.

The rubber conduit? What it’s that from?

The rubber conduit? What it’s that from?

That one is from a third gen 4Runner. I have a box full of all shapes and sizes from several Pick-n-Pull trips.

Haven’t settled on a setup yet. I only get one shot at getting it right.
