Flame me if you will, but I cut my radiator shroud in half so I can now easily remove it completely to get to the fan, water pump, hoses etc. SOOO much easier. I drilled the holes to zip tie the pieces together, but that was not needed.View attachment 1467345

I did the same (sans zip ties) a couple of years ago... I got sick and tired of fighting with it!!

I have some moldable putty for joining metal.. I joined it... Then had to break it apart again. so, I left it split... No problems.

I guess I was too shy to confess...

Worked on the ambi door hinges, bead blasting and getting ready for 2K primer. Only got in 15 minutes before I was interrupted by the grandson and my wife to do something for them. Have been working on this thing for going on three years, 15 minutes at a time.

Your right I should have chosen my words a little more wisely.

Your words were fine:
We owe MUCH to ALL our veterans and current servicemen with special honor extended to those that gave the ultimate sacrifice (Memorial Day observance). Just recently lost my 95 year old father in law... veteran of WWII but still have my dad and two brothers (one special forces) who served - Grateful to them ALL!

My Queen has set forth a funds freeze for now so my large projects are on hold.... however I did install a new fuse box for future needs! Thanks for write up help @REZARF

Installed some trucklite LED Heated Headlights. Also started dry fitting the fiberglass hardtop. Have some gutter building to do while it's warm out.

Took it out on a quick "how's it doing" run to a trailhead in the mountains above town, getting ready for the next leg of the FJ40 Cross Country Expedition on Friday. Did well on the climb, plus the highway along the base of the escarpment to the start of the climb into the mountains gave me a chance to get it up to 55 mph for a bit. Did fine with that as well.

Tre's got done.

Polyurethane bushings, new grease-able shackles. Front and back with shackle: easy. Center without shackle: Hard. Had to use a cutoff wheel and cut the inside hangers. That was a good test of patience.
