Finished up the buckets. Seat frame courtesy of @cumminscruiser

What seats are you using on those? How is the height in term of headroom and view out windshield? Your install looks super clean!
Seats are procar buckets.

My height is 6’ and any higher would be too tall. Slight rub if any on the thighs. Plenty of headroom. The seats are mounted directly to the frame (no sliders)

Took the kids out to play in the snow. First time out in the 40 since February 2020… power steering worked flawlessly, didn’t give it a second thought. Turn signals crapped out part way through the trip… the down side of a 48 year old truck that has sat for two years.

Gonna get a little wacky for my new build.. Honda J35, Torqueflight auto, D300 t-case (not present atm)

That is the next rig to run out of control on the top of Daniel. So glad you are in one piece and drilling to show up again in NC.

Nah. This will be way too much of a wheeler to take to NC, it wont be done by April anyways. Im planning to drive there in my other 71 this year.
Maybe I’d bring both if i had a 36' trailer.

Glad you are still ok.

On that note, it’s wise to do a pre-trip inspection before you go out… every day. Driving Comercial trucks it’s required by law… personal vehicles it’s just as important. I can’t count the number of times I’ve seen nails/screws in strangers car tires and/or flat tires and told them. After doing enough pre-trips, I can’t turn it off.

OP, it’s something we all need to do that we don’t, no finger pointing is intended.

You made me do it…

Which version of the J35?

Also, what are you doing with the rest of the space? You could almost put a section one in front of the one you have in there?

Now all you need is the rear half of the frame. ;)

Not sure yet. This particular one is a J32a3, not sure if it’s a runner or not, i have two of these, first thing is make transmission adapter, mounts etc. it’ll be awhile before i need to worry about the long block.

considering putting winch between rad and motor. Want weight as centered as possible.

Its got as much toyota frame as it needs. The rest is stacked up in sticks of 1.75” DOM

This is ganna be good. I kinda want to get rid of my rear frame......

I bought a new one today! 75 FJ55. It is a crusty, rusty turd but it’s complete. I bought it for the 2F and 4 speed for potential future use. Drove with the family a couple hours to get it and went through a drive through game farm while out there; truck, trailer and piggy all drove through. Just look at those elk waiting for their bread…
