I am planning on getting my tub back on the frame early next week, now that the drivetrain is back in. Figured getting the brake lines on first would be easier, so I bent some new frame and rear axle lines today. Need to clean the unions and the hold down clips then transfer to the new lines

I've finally got around to installing a high flow cat on my SBC swapped FJ40. Something I should have done sooner, exhaust stink is pretty much gone with two magnaflow 400 cell high flow cat. Running EFI with 14.7:1 afr for idle and cruise.

Something I would recommend if you got the carb / EFI AFR dialed in and still got some of that old fashion exhaust stink.. or in my case wife complains every time we went out for a drive.

“They” say an inner axle seal is the same dimensions as the steering box sector shaft seal.

food for thought
Thanks, I read that on a couple posts too so feel pretty good about getting that one. Toyota just wasnt sure about the one on top where the steering column/shaft comes out. Anyone get that one recently?

My battery tie down snapped on my last wheeling trip and dumped my battery onto my exhaust manifold. The battery melted and dumped acid on everything. I had the grab whatever battery I could find at the nearest store - a Walmart 40min from the trail.

I decided I needed a more substantial battery tray and one that was universal enough to accept just about any size and shape battery I could find in a pinch. The end result was 15lbs of over engineering.
