Headliner today...trim and mock up! Boring...but I'm sure it will be well worth it once installed!

Update:

I took a look at the flywheel to make sure my white highlighting of the BB and line was still good. Then I noticed the additional scribed line @ 13* BTDC that I had added and highlighted back when I did the 4-speed swap (coincidently exactly 20 years ago today ;) - just looked air my vehicle maintenance spreadsheet). I removed the cap on the octane selector and dialed it towards more advance until the timing light showed the pointer at the 13* line. I then readjusted the idle speed and checked the vacuum - up from 14.8 in to 15.2 in :). Hopefully I can do the valve adjustment later on this afternoon. But first, I have to disconnect the power door locks on my '93 4-Runner (I think the power door locks are draining the battery) and reinstall the freshly charged battery so my son can drive it back to Albuquerque after work. I want my Silverado back!

Put the top back on Yagi for the winter then washed it. Needs a little TLC and it will be ready for another 47 years...

So that is what was done with your cruiser this week? Mr Cena laughed at it, eh? :flipoff2:

Shouldn't you be fishing somewhere and taking some awesome photos?

Unfortunately I parked mine in the garage for a bit, I’ve been busy cutting firewood and working. I did drive my 40 to work on Wednesday! I may get out Sunday and hit some forest service roads in the Cruiser looking for a good wood cutting spot.

Stretched her legs a bit. 1.5 hour drive to an overnight camp and a plesant day of fishing. This wasn’t the biggest fish, but it did have the best backdrop.

Well, once again I can report having done squat on my 40, despite being smack in the middle of a knuckle rebuild. This whole work thing is really becoming a problem! On the plus side, after picking up a 14” cutoff saw last time, my local dump yielded up this beauty 😁

This old man says it’s pretty darn heavy!!

Finally got some new steelies and got some fresh tires mounted on the FJ40! And now I have a matching spare!

Edit: for anyone wondering and for future research these are Wheel Vintiques series 12 smoothies in 15x8 with 4” of backspacing wrapped in 31x10.50r15 Falken Wildpeak M/T’s. And yes I did have to run spacers; most tire shops in my case won’t mount a 10.50” wide tire on a OEM 5.5” wide wheel and these are cheaper anyways.

With a morning temp of about 42 degrees down on the creek, I pulled this knob for the first time of the season. ❄

Well? did it work? Hope not. We need you to do a thread on fixing it correctly. Detailed as usual with the appropriate part #s.
