Starting my journey with my new-to-me 2018 LC200….
Ordered a BeatSonic CarPlay adapter
Scheduled an undercoating (Corrosion Free)
Trying to buy Brendan’s hatch light (apparently I need more posts to be able to reply to PMs…stoopid newb!)

Feel free to stop me from any huge mistakes as I don’t want to serve as a horrible warning.
I just installed my BeatSonic today into my 2018 LX. Super impressed with how well it integrates. The 2016 LX is particularly difficult with it using the mouse/joystick thing instead of having a touchscreen and it works pretty dang well so far.

It’s honestly better integrated and easier to jump back and forth between CarPlay and the stock infotainment than my Chevy Bolt or my previous F150 with Sync 3, which both came with Android Auto/Carplay from the factory.

What the sacrilege is going on here? Not very confident in this but I'm doing it. Results TBD.

You’re a bold man, but aren’t swaybars spring steel?

Totally and what I'm doing is not really kosher. Trying not to put much heat into it with pulse TIG, and avoiding stress risers. This is experimental and we'll see how it goes. I'm hoping most of the torsion happens in the long section in between. I already would do it differently now that I see how thick the wall is (8mm), but if it breaks, it's not a big deal and I'll do it in another way.

I would be more comfortable doing this on a KDSS bracket if I had an LC, as that is distinct from the spring steel sway bar.

Sliders in their final form. Much more beefy with the extra mounts. Passed the jack test with flying colors (my jack couldn't go any higher, but both wheels were off the ground). Fill plates are not the most aesthetic, but will get the job done just fine.

I’ve never heard of a spring steel tube, if that is what you are working on. If you have ground down a part of any kind of hardened steel tube, it is likely annealed. Stress will be in that location. Count on it failing, so test it accordingly. Good luck.

Hi- still pretty happy with the Dakota Lithium solution under hood with Redarc DCDC and 200W solar. I’m using a Victron battery fuel gauge- I didn’t get the Dakota gauge and I don’t believe the BMS in my battery has any output functions.
Thanks, ordered my Dakota Lithium 135 a few days ago, will you let you know if I can read the battery BMS with their app.

Replaced the China oil filter housing with OEM plastic and new filter and finished the day with a bath.

Drove my '13 33337 miles 😏

Wow, that is way low mileage after 11 year or so. Perhaps less Chevy Bolt (such an odd second car for a Land Cruiser owner...) and more LC is in place. I guess the turn side is that in say 2050, when the 200 series will likley be a collector vehicle, you will have one of the lowest mileage 200's around.

All driving is split between 4 cars. The LC had less than half this about 2.5 years ago, roughly 14,500 miles so this is a lot of driving for me on one vehicle.

the bolt concept looked AWESOME. The production was tantamount to a cold shower on prom night. “I was in the pool!” And all that.

I've been working with @nakman on a roof rack solution for my 2016+ L570. Got them installed last week and can't wait to put them to use.

Working with Tim was a great experience. Can't recommend him and his products enough.

Hey contact collision safety consultants. They specialize in establishing value with ins., I’d imagine they have experience in theft valuation.
Thanks - I'm going to need to talk to someone else regarding because they are holding firm at the original quote.

So I got hit in rear in Houston back on 10/11. So my LC200 was dropped off to Caliber to get repaired. It has been some what of a pain ordeal. When I got home 2 hours after accident, I live in Round Rock, I called my carrier State Farm and reported the incident. The next day State Farm called me saying that Allstate, person that hit me, Insurance and no claim was yet opened and they could not open one on my behalf. So on Monday I called Allstate and filed claim. The next day all state calls me back and informs me that Allstate will not be covering the claim as driver was in capacity as Uber driver and his insurance did not cover that. I called back State Farm and they explain how I could contact Uber to report the incident. I did that and Progressive called me as they are Insurance of record for Uber I guess. They then tell me I have to take my vehicle to one of their repair centers. I have been forced once in past to use Progressive repair and lets just say not ever doing that again. I called State Farm back explained told them I pay for full coverage and I am making it their problem. State Farm let me pick my repair shop from their network and I dropped off my LC yesterday. Bumper and Tailgate damage is what I can see. Now I wait. I will have to pay the 250 deductible but once State Farm goes after Progressive I may get that money back.
