Nice. Any forest fire issues?
Nope, just fine. One of the roads back down from Max Patch was closed but we just went another way. Not even smoky.

Right under 50k

Rotated tires, changed transmission fluid (12ish qts), driveline greased, oil change.

Considered changing power steering fluid over to red cap amsoil trans fluid while all wheels off and up in the air, but figured a reservoir drain and fill with idemitsu psf would work until I’m out of my current stock.

Planned on also doing brakes. Egg on my face, I’ve got a little more than 8mm all around. I was surprised there for sure.

Changing out hatch struts. Does anyone know why there is a wire attaching to the hatch seal? Do they have heating elements in them?

Pinch detection. In other words, when lift gate closing and that strip is compressed (fingers in the way), it reverses the power closing tailgate. I removed the strip from the stampings and tucked the strip within the tailgate. Plug holes with rubber/plastic trim plugs. The metal, L-shaped stamping is only e-coated and prone to ugly rust here in the salt belt.

Ah, thanks!

Fortunately I don't have to deal with rust here.

My 200 got his 8000km oil change.
I'm more in favor of more regular oil changes but cheaper oil.
A diesel with 330,000km needs a little attention and the oil change on the 200 is done in 30-40 minutes anyway.

I am on the slow path to outfit my rig for overlanding. Sometime ago I found a great deal on five BSS wheels and just put the new Cooper® Discoverer Road+Trail™ AT (275/65/R18). This tire replaced/update the 4S. Not an E rated tired which for my needs is fine.

FWIW I bought these at Big-O during their buy four one free offering. And hopefully will get another $100 rebate from Copper.

One comment I got from one of the techs at Big-O who had been there for sometime is that now that Copper is owned by GoodYear he expected more update like this one.
