Took a step back down from the OME 2724 springs to the OME 2723 and added Airbag Man HP5051 kit.

Also removed my Gamiviti roof rack and replaced it with a factory rack.

How was the fitment of the Airbagman sleeves over the airbags? I just did the same kit a few days ago and the sleeve fitment was super sloppy. I was expecting a fit that was pretty close to the length of the bag, but had an extra inch on each end. Any chance you can see the sleeve part number they included with your kit?

I agree the sleeve isn’t super tidy. Sliding the sleeve and bag into the coil was frustrating because the bag wanted to move, but the sleeve wouldn’t move much due to the excess. I assume it is that way to allow the bag to expand and contract without exceeding the sleeve.

My sleeve says IPS6009, but the only part number that comes up searchable is CS6009.

Nothing too exciting just some new windshield wipers as the old ones were falling apart and today was not a day to go without.

Also the wifey just got back from a 3600 mile road trip with the cruiser and she had nothing but good things to say about it for the duration. Once it warms up around here it will be time for a tune up!

Switched over to a Mister Hitches adjustable hitch for a new articulating coupler for my camper. The rear swing out bumper ate up too much clearance and cut down on articulation so I had a new camper tongue built and switch to a Hitch-Ezy coupler, this thing is sweet.

Oh, and we ditched the Navigator and got the Cruiser a new roommate.

I just love that there is a cruiser here not ever going to be used as a minivan. Cant do the LC wrong like that!

Funny you say that because I had a thread about my last breakdown in my Navigator and how dumb I was to leave my cruiser at home. True to Mud form there were some very helpful members posting Cruiser listings for me to consider. We considered them but in the end we opted for the larger people hauler minivan. It’s worth mentioning that the Sienna is AWD so there’s power to all 4 just “NO4LO” which we’ve decided will be the license plate at renewal and bonus for playing well with the Cruiser plate.

I raised my BP-51 preload collar from the preset of 20mm to the recommended 10mm(ish).

I also swapped out UCAs from Total Chaos to the OME UCAs.

It’s been a solid weekend of wrenching to address daily driving comforts. I certainly don’t want to get that intimate with it again for few years…

While I have been performing the 120K maintenance schedule of my recently purchased 2013 LX I found a trail of dried coolant on the front of the engine from a leaking water pump while doing the front diff/oil. Yesterday I spent the day in the garage replacing the water pump/thermostat/coolant/belt/radiator and hoses. It was a good ~7 hours of wrenching including what was about an hour break in between. Definitely couldn't have done it without some of the help of this forum for the torque specs and DIYs and YouTube. It was fairly uneventful. The short bypass hose proved to be the most tricky to remove but I got it done. The radiator looked "ok" but I could see the smallest tiniest fracture forming in the usual spot. Replaced with all new Toyota parts and got the updated radiator. If I was getting at the WP I figured I might as well do this once for the next 10 years.

I have since washed off all the goo from the front of the block so it is looking nice and fresh. I have kept the skid plate and splash tray off because those need a good washing next.

Changed the oil today and made the swap frpm 0W-20 to 5W-30. Some other forum members mentioned that the drivetrain was quieter after switching. I pulled up my decibel meter app and measured with the hood open with the phone positioned over the engine and took a reading before and after the new oil. This fairly unscientific measurement showed a 2 decibel reduction in engine noise, which is not insignificant.

Adapted my (previously) portable single ARB compressor unit for hard mount in the engine bay. SDHQ passenger side mount bracket. Ran airbag lines up to the front close enough to the air chuck to reach with just the tire inflator (no hose). More complicated than using the portable ARB (for tires) and carrying a bike tire pump (for airbags), but it does mean I have one less box and pump to carry in the cargo area.
