Lubed prop shaft and checked KDSS valve for rust. It's a 2018 and I live in the land of no rust. It looked brand new and the screws turned easily. Still cleaned it with some PB blaster and then coated with grease.

I'm the guy that has never done any of his own car maintenance but owning this truck and reading this forum inspired me to be a man and work on my own damn car. I'm very handy but have always preferred to throw money instead of elbow grease at my own cars. Buy there's no way I'm gonna convince the boss to let me build my giant dream garage out back if I don't start working on my own cars...

Next step is buying all the crap to do my own oil changes and seeing if I can convince myself to do the OEM front strut spacers.

Got myself stuck in deep, sucking mud trying to pull out my dog kennel owners minivan. Then the 18k lb tow truck that came to winch me out got stuck. Then the F550 tow truck that came to pull out the 1st tow truck got stuck. The 1st tow truck managed to winch himself out, then took 3-4 tries to winch me out. Then he winched out the other tow truck and finally the kennel owners minivan.

The passenger side of the truck was down in the ditch, dug into mud up to the running boards. It took me 30 minutes with a pressure washer to clean the mud out of the wheels and there's still some in there...

Technically last week, but I figured out a way to change the front emblem to what I want it to say.

Why not? There is a thread in all of the other sections. Post pics if you got them.

Me? I put in weathertechs this week, gave it a good wash and detail, and I bought some Novus plastic polish that I am going to use to clean up the PO's scratches all over the wood grain--center console, shifter, steering wheel, etc.
Totally redoing the front end. New axels, LCAs, UCAs, steering rack, and every piece of rubber/bushing up front. 2001 Lx470. Thank God I have a buddy at work who can do everything and loves working on trucks. I hold the light like a champ.

Sprinklering the undercarriage one section at a time to get rid of the salt and chemicals from a trip earlier this week.

Nice job! What grit of sandpaper did you use to blend it?
1k then 2k then 3k. Made these set of wooden dowels, one set of 5 for each grit. Start with the smallest then move up wet sanding with a spray bottle. Be careful not to take off too much of the surrounding paint. If you give it a go a heads up it looks a lot worse in the process before it looks better. After that I buff with Meguiars, in the sanded areas will still look dull and obvious until after buffing.

Ceramic coating the repaired areas today with CQuartz.

Finished install of LFD 200 series cross bars with integrated wind fairing. Also have LFD mounting plates that I will use to install Kaon folding max trax mounts in order to fit in garage. That’s next step. March madness is hurting my garage time.

Very nice cross bar alternative. Will be interested to see the MaxTrax mounts. I was considering them for the exact
same reason!

Replaced my 4 year old OEM main battery today w Odyssey 31 AGM. Finally got around to installing my Slee battery terminals on main and aux. batteries. Added Slee accessory tray and relocated Redarc SBI. Mounted Noco onboard charger which is direct wired to AGM batteries. AC plug under Rhino bumper.

wow! that what I like about this forum. there are more annal people like me who are perfectionists.

Drove around NM for the week just checking things out. It was a good test of my newly installed Dissent rear bumper and swing outs. Nothing shook lose and it all worked well. Also a good test of the Roam box I mounted to the accessory swing out. It saw rain, snow, and lots of dust plus a pressure washer when I got home. No dirt or water got past the seal.

Replaced the hood struts. Passenger side one lost all of its charge very quickly.

I originally bought some off amazon, which was a mistake as they didn't even fit into the ball joints that came with them.

Oem fit perfectly.
