What rock auto parts are you using on a 200 😬
Rock auto sells OEM parts if you know what you're looking for. I just bought an AISIN water pump as well as a rebuilt Denso starter a couple years ago. I also bought rebranded TPMS sensors for my wife's SC430 that are the same Denso's the dealer sells.

I didn't use much but mostly all were Aisin and Denso parts which are OEM suppliers.

Tundra Moog outer tie rod ends, which have been fine, and some Tundra Cardone HD CVs that lasted a year before the passenger side one started clicking. Replaced with OEM.

Just got back from the desert without washing. She'll clean up nice as she always does. Adding the winch but going to re-work the HWM to better fit the LX in my own way, but to also integrate back the wing part of the crash bar.

I can’t wait to see this mod. I would love to have a HWM and retain the wing part of the crash bar.

Sorting out how each piece is going to fit up and I'm comfortable I can make it happen at this point. It's going to be a complete custom job and may not be easily replicated unless with a fabrication shop. Idea is to integrate the frame horns in with the HWM plate. Then tie in the cut crash bar in with the HWM plate with enough structure that it can transfer loads in a small overlap crash.

On the LX, the HWM plate is completely below the crash bar perhaps making integration somewhat easier. The LC plate is located 2" higher. I'm also trying to keep the winch as low and far back as possible to minimize cantilevered weight on the front end.

Here's what the fit-up relative to each other looks lie before I cut the crash bar to make space for the winch. The thick HWM 1/4 plate making things hard for my plasma cutter.

We believe. Keep going bud!

I quickly built a housing today to accommodate the switches for the light well.
A bit of CAD, cut out aluminum, welding, print and transfer the lettering with the 3D printer, paint and now it's ready.
The whole thing comes then on top of the dashboard because the switches left under the steering wheel have disturbed me.

Put in my white knuckle off road sliders. Love them! Definitely no need to buy LC rocker panels for LX just some easy cutting.

I did the painting.

They are very easy to put on an LX not sure why the instructions make things so complicated, but maybe is because LC are harder…

Either way they are awesome. Got the beefier ones. They weight a lot and seem solid as hell.

White Knuckle the sliders are the cat’s meow, the instructions way too complicated.

Next up. The dreaded valley coolant leak and a oil leak that seems to be coming from the engine oil pan so just putting a new gasket.

Going to do a lot prep work for coolant leak and replace a few other things while in there.

I was also thinking about deleting the secondary air injection system.

Are you running AHC? If so can you show how you mounted the white knuckle sliders?

I’m very curious how they are attached. I went thru some correspondence with WK in 2018 and it sounded like the feet would get into some of the AHC attachment points.
I’m glad they did t, would love to see some pics so others could also benefit of how they bolt up.

there is absolutely no way in hell you could mount these with AHC… I am sure they could redesign and get them to go on.

I have deleted AHC and running kings, but I recall the day I hacked everything off. It was a chore. There are still a couple pieces of tube in there.

I actually put the order in October and got them over new years. I was going to get the Slee but they got so expensive I looked for alternatives.

The white knuckle look better in person. Zero regrets

Cheers!!

See post above. Sorry about getting everyones hopes up. But you guys should reach out to them. I think it is doable with some redesign.

Yeah, they were open to it back then, but at the time I didn’t think there would be 16 moths where there was no supply for Lx at all. At this time there are now a couple solid solutions on the market and actively stocked.

6x McGard Black Cone Seat SplineDrive Lug Nut Set - M14 x 1.5 # 65315BK = $29.00 each

2x MCGARD # 65302 Install key= $16.00 each

I recommend purchasing 2 of the socket adapters. If you crack one it will flex under torque load and simply spin around the lug nut making it to impossible to remove the wheel/tire. The lugs are sold in 4 packs and it never hurts to carry a few spares.

Mcgard is who manufactures the TRD set with locks. I don’t care for locks and wanted black lugs. Wheel, Trd Wheel Installation Kit - Toyota (PTR27-60110) | Toyota Parts
I have the same set of Mcgard lug nuts. How do you like them and how are they holding up? I have a 2010 LC and I did a dry fit test with the icon rebounds. Not sure how I feel with the tread engagement. The front lugs seem like they have less thread engagement than the rears. I’m thinking ET lug nuts but read mixed reviews.

They are holding up great. I don't see how any other type of lug nut could possibly have any more thread engagement. These are the lugnuts Toyota uses for their TRD package wheels on the tundras. I wouldn't consider anything else. The splines do have a tiny bit of markings from the one time I mistakenly let a tire shop touch my car and they used their impact wrench on them.

Acquired some wheels and tires. 285/75r18. Planning on AHC service and sensor lift before installing. Two tires are quite good, two have some bad camber wear. Unsure whether I'll run them or replace them, but the price was right.

Probably replace. With the wear/cupping I see, those are going to be noisy.

"The Minivan" 2010 Lexus LX570: mall crawler, camper hauler

That's a lot of tire for a mall crawler. You will need 1" spacers, a lot of plastic reshaping and cutting, and a good alignment to keep you tires off the body mount at that size. I bet it looks sweet though!

Yeah, I'm prepared to shred the plastic bits (bumpers are pretty much toast from previous life as soccer chariot). I'm just hoping body mount chop isn't needed. The "Minivan" nickname is meant mostly in jest. I plan to build this up and wheel it since my wife pretty much refuses to ride in the 80 anymore.
