After owning this bumper for 5 months, having it sit at a body shop in PA for 2 of those months…I finally made it back east for the holidays and was able to get it all mounted. I’ll grab better photos tomorrow since it was pretty much dark when I grabbed this one.

But the epoxy spay and color match is immaculate. The shop did a phenomenal job, it’s perfectly matched. Also I promise it’s straight on the truck regardless what the shadows in the picture depict.

Few odds and ends to wrap up ( fogs and headlight washers) but all in all pretty happy with my choice. The TT bumpers look better in person IMO.

I like the ankle on the side of these kind of bumpers. Is this a steel o fabric winch?
Mine is more like the original plastic one. But ok so the police does not ask too closely whether it is not registered in the papers.

Today I replaced the driver’s side head light housing because it was cracked and yellowed. The passenger side was replaced a few years ago after an accident so it looks pretty good, but made the driver’s side look terrible. Multiple rounds of polishing and sealing only lasted a few short months at most.

FWIW, I did not have to remove the TJM T13, just the grille, fill panel below the headlight, and the lower cover of the bumper on the driver’s side.

I also replaced the check valve on the windshield washer nozzles and the driver’s side nozzle. The driver’s side nozzle was barely trickling, and it was driving me crazy!

All in all, about two hours to knock the two out.

Does paint protection film help prevent this yellowing? Or does it yellow from the inside?

Honestly I’m not sure. I’ve heard of people clear coating them to help, but I don’t know if anyone has done that long enough ago to be sure it works. I may play with this yellowed one and polish it out then clear to see how good it can get.

Nope if your protection Film doesn’t have a high UV filter. The yellowing comes from UV light.
A protective film with UV protection could help. All in all, it's a question of the batch of plastic that was used for your headlights and how much sunlight you have at home.
Some headlights never turn yellow and some after a few years which is becoming increasingly rare these days.

Bought a pair of rear fog housings on eBay. Not exactly sure what I’m going to do yet but want to get some bright LED chase lights in there. Contemplating cutting the lens to make room for some BD S1 or S2 ambers and painting the surrounding lens body color or black. 🤔

Legal or not, i want something super bright to warn idiots driving too fast in fog, snow or smoke, that something is ahead. Air horns facing rearward might help said idiots see better.

Did you see these posts? I am also interested in something like this. Cool!

Installed camp lights and handles to my Prinsu rack, installed Brendan’s cargo light, and added a two stage fog light to the rear reflectors.

There’s a few posted about this if you search the forum.

In other markets rear fog lights are a requirement. As such, our bumper reflector are actually light housings without bulbs or wiring to them. It’s a rabbit hole if you want to retrofit an OME stock for the OEM switch, so I didn’t go that route. I just got a couple switchs from CH4x4, a few relays and a set of VLED V6 Triton 7443 with a hardwire pigtail. Once you remove the reflectors you can see when the bulbs mount. Grab your dermal and cut out the plug. Remove the paper seal on the breather and throw it all together. I ran power straight from the battery as I wanted and always on option so that I could use them as camp lights if I needed.

I wired the rear fog light switch as the high output of the 7443 and a side light (camp light) switch on the low output. All power is run under the truck and in through the back as I didn’t want to run anything through the firewall. Relays are behind the panel in the back when the third row belt reels once lived. Happy to share more pics if you’re interested.
