Added a dash cover and attached a few pouches to it with hook and loop. Will see how it holds up over the next week and a half. It will either work great or find its way into a bin along the highway.

Snipped off what was too much for Preparation H... :grinpimp:

A little Nip & Tuck coming soon...
No...That’s not a finished pipe. :) That’s just what it looks like when you first lip off the resonator.

Oh... And YES...that’s the 24gal LRA tank to the right...

Edit:
Since some thought I just left a giant hole where the resonator was :) ...here it is with the pipe added back in:

Love mine. And smart move taking off the air bag, I wish I had done the same. Make tucking the leather under so much easier.
I have you to thank.

You mentioned it when you did yours, and I listened.

Hrmm.. Not sure how I feel about that. Those braces are there to reinforce the lip of the tailgate, i.e. sitting or standing the tailgate. Any sense if there's rigidity lost? Or does the new frame do it's part to reinforce it? Structurally, I gotta think there's some lost rigidity. I think at a minimum, I'd try to keep to middle two reinforcements.

Let me know how it sounds, if no drone that will be next on my list of mods

No discernable difference.

Frankly… For the life of me, I cannot figure out what the point of the resonator is. When you look inside it, there is just a straight tube that goes through the wider cylinder… And I can’t imagine it does much of anything substantial…

per google... its supposed to "tune" the exhaust. I imagine, for a more distinguished sound. I guess Toyota thought your exhaust system should be a musical instrument.

Toyota acknowledge the Tundra 5.7 had drone (according to BAMufflers when I was in his shop), so the LC200 has another resonator to cancel it. Drone is something that happens as a specific RPM and might not be a RPM we stay in for long periods of time, where the Tundra might (maybe because of the different differential gear ratios).

I also attribute it to the 200 is a "spare no expense" vehicle, so if the engineers found the slightest possible unfavorable noise, they are more free to bump the cost up with features like this.

Ya, at this point I’ve listened on the highway and on my driveway.

If it’s different...it’s minor at worst.
Other stuff makes more noise that my exhaust...

They actually dropped the end down farther that I prefer, but I can alway hack it off. Wanted to avoid melting my indicators as happened in another rig before Baja. :)

Have a look see...

Mark, I think when you are stationary, you're going to be filling you trunk area with exhaust fumes. That exhaust dumps right below the trunk vents (to let air out when shutting the doors, so you don't blow out your glass). Plus the rear bumper is now helping funnel the fumes there also. Maybe take a second look.
