^ Great... was getting ready to install these.

Cracked welds on the first pair and now failed smog pass on the 2nd pair.

Sent you a PM Dan. Hit me up about the smog... I can help.

Improving on the Slee step sliders for 1" body lift. Added 2" .25wall box tubing to replace C channel and thicker brackets to prevent bending. Should be mo bomber now and the same height as pre BL.

Sponsored by Michelob Ultra I see....

Divorced my Puma compressor from the tank. Mounted the compressor behind the passengers side fog Light and the tank behind the drivers side fog. Still working on wiring and plumbing from the tank, regulator and compressor.

Ran into a tree wheeling on dickey bell at Uwharrie Minimum damage.

Finally got off my rear and am bringing the new LX up to snuff.

Oil change with Mobil1 10-30 and a Bosch Distance Plus filter.

Purchased the lifetime alignment at Firestone and had them fix my goofy front toe

Picked up some AHC fluid, full flush is on my list to do as soon as we get back from a 10 day trip up the Pacific Coast

Attempted to align the headlights. Failed. Asked Firestone, they couldn't figure it out. Swung by Toyota dealer, two techs with the service bulletin in front of them couldn't figure it out. There's no where for the damn alignment screw to even attach as far as I can see. Sigh.

Photos of how this looks??

Here are a few. Took the tank back out to paint the brackets and where we welded a new bung for the tank water drain.

Truck in question is '99 LX 470 with 170,345 miles

Last week:

Oil change (always Mobil 1)
Front and rear differential fluid change
Transfer case fluid change
AHC complete flush
Transmission total flush at the dealer
Drive shaft was removed, splines were re-greased along with the rest of the front and rear drive shaft
Rotate the tires

This week:

Timing belt (170,000 miles, was never changed and per mechanic wasn't looking very re-assuring) Glad had that replaced
Serpentine belt replaced
Thermostat replaced
Water pump replaced
Idler pulleys replaced
Tensioner pulley replaced
T-hoses (one was already broken and was in pieces. Mechanic wondered how I got that information :D)
Fuel filter replaced
Coolant flushed using Toyota red
Brake fluid total flushed
Power steering fluid flush
Front Wheel bearing re-packed
Center console cup holder won't close. Mechanic found the spring broken and took care of it
Cabin filter replaced.
Headlights adjusted

I think I have pretty much covered every thing for the next 100,000 miles

Installed custom nut strip in both frame rails, POR15ed and painted the cross member, and installed a Slee rear.

Once a truck is this old those nuts welded inside the frame tend to pop off making it a real pita to remove a hitch/install a bumper.

Pressed out the old bearing and installed a new one in my trail spare serpentine belt tensioner pulley.
- Cheap insurance.

Picked up a set of 285/65/18 BFG AT's on Tundra steelies. Have them mounted and love the size. Going to swap them into my alloys shortly, though I do like the utilitarian look of the steel wheels.

Suspension bushings?

Suspension bushings?

Completely forgot about it :o

I have to take the truck back to him for door lock actuator replacement so will have them done then.

By the way, would he (Toyota master tech) need that special tool or would he be able to do it with out one?
