Installed new X2 Power dual batteries & Blue Sea ACR isolator. T-Max is still used for monitoring duties only.

Did a "full" detail in preparation for winter; claybar, polish with the D/A, and sealant.

Finished sanding and repainting the undercarriage plus cleaned the throttle body and MAF sensor.

Edit: added pic of undercarriage, the only one I snapped before taking it off the ramps. It's not perfect and it's still a work in progress, but this will do for now as it's going to be Krowned next week.

Damn your paint looks good...got any pics of the undercarriage you spent so much time on? I've been considering doing the same thing at some point.

Edited my post above... Not the best pic but it was the only one I got for now!

Replaced fuel filter and front TOL lines from rust.....209,000

You must of smelled wonderful this afternoon.
My 1st two cans in the rear section had more splatter, then I worked more at an angle. I didn’t exactly have to burn my clothes but did leave them in the garage when I was done. It feels good to have done something to fight the dreaded rust. I bought the LC from the southwest so I gonna keep it rust free......if possible.

Picked up a Tepui RTT and HI Lift from a fellow mudder and installed them. The Hi Lift will go on the BIOR rear bumper but some dummy forgot the mounting hardware. Right now the RTT ladder comes off of the back, I'd really like it to come off the passenger side. Anyone ever move the mounting bars that come on the bottom of a Tepui tent?

Replaced front brake calipers;
Replaced front & rear brake pads;
Flushed brake fluid.

My brakes were sticking badly, the car wouldn't move in idle Drive or Reverse.
At first I wanted to replace the pads and free the calipers, this is how they looked:
stuck vs loose.png

With a 24H soak in lots of penetratring oil and a large hammer I was able to get them out.
I cut the half circle off on the left side so I could make more speed with the hammer.

After getting the pins out I got the pads out. Then only three of the pistons would go back, one was stuck.
I took the piston out of the caliper, it was pitted and needed replacement:

Since the calipers had a lot of rust, also around the seals I went with some new calipers. Here is old vs new:

The rubbers on the old calipers expanded and did't seal well anymore. You can see how the rubber is too big to fit:

New calipers on on both sides:

Also bled and flushed all the brake fluid.

Easy job, no special tools needed.
All new pads, 2 new calipers and a flush can be done within a few hours.

Also drove the truck a while (+/-100 km's / 60 miles) for the first time after repairing the brakes & AHC.
Waiting for a replacement upper tailgate, dutch APK (yearly safety inspection), insurance and after this I can drive & daily the truck.

Another trip south of the border to the beach. Our LX470 has become the finest travel vehicle we could ask for. The ability to travel at high speeds loaded with an excellent ride and handling then cruiser the beaches is priceless. With our current setup of part time, SPC UCA, caster at 4.5°, and AHC driving is effortless even when pushed hard in the turns with little to no driving fatigue after several hours.

Noticed the forever known cat-shield rattle while warming up the truck the other day. I grabbed a couple of 4”-6” worm drive duct clamps and crawled under the truck and clamped the shields down. Now I don’t rattle. Easy 5 minute, zero :banana: job without the tupperware shield in the way.

WOW... think I'm suffering from the same rattle on my 01. gonna try this mod this weekend.

Truck looks beautiful, I started to take apart my throttle body to clean when I replaced my spark plugs. Do you have any knowledge of why there is a coolant line connected? Also how did your hoses look?

Received my trail gear sliders from summit racing in 2 days. I haven't opened the box yet. To my door for under $230.
