Installed @Isotel 's Crawlorado hood blackout from the recent group buy. Easy install after watching the video. Tip: It was about 50 degrees out so I left my engine running during installation to keep the hood nice and warm.

Well I technically completed this project a couple weeks ago, just put it to a different use this week. Finally built my sleeping/cargo platform. Used plywood cut into two sections held up by pipes and secured with turnbuckles to the stock tie down locations. Day after I built it I slept on it for 4 nights at a festival and it worked perfect; kept all my gear underneath and out of the environment while I soundly resided on an air mattress on top. I use it daily for work, hauling mostly coolers and other event supplies while retaining the ability to keep tools underneath. Whole project cost around $100 and worth every penny

Platform/storage system coming along. Mostly just winging it with a little addition each evening and then think about next step during the day. Couple of storage bins in a box to get the height right for sleeping and putting a couple of fold up storage areas against the back of the seats. Probably going to build wings for the sides, although I do like where my stove fits right now. Plan to carpet it once I get all pieces in place. Might still get KISS drawers eventually.

Traumatized! Attempted to reboot my torn CV’s. Sloppy sloppy job. I couldn’t get the freaking fastener straps on tights. Here’s a pic of the aftermath. Does anyone know the proper tool to tighten this style cv boot strap?

LOL holy cow that looks like the Exxon Valdez spill.

As for the clamp tightening, no special tool required, what you do is have it seat nice and snug against the boot and fold it over.

Use something like this to keep the tab from unfolding

Then just tap the wings and fold them down and it'll stay put. I did this method and haven't flung any grease out of the clamps area yet.

Looks like you have the right tool for the pinch type clamp, that's what i used too, but gotta put a lot of back into it to make them close.

new axles looks easier

I put some poser stickers on my truck...don't know how i feel about it. At least 5 likes and i'll keep it, or i'm scraping it off.

Door handles need to be re-wrapped, i scratched them up on the trail last weekend, took off the vinyl that's why they look like that.

That’s a pretty damn good idea, thanks!

Did you drill and put the "pin" bolts in the bottom? Bumper will rotate back into the hood with out them. Don't ask how I know.

Good to know! I'm drilling those out today.
