I didn’t know the condition of the cooling system, and at 184k miles I wanted to replace the heater Ts anyway. After getting everything apart, it turns out the system was actually in great shape. The old Ts and hoses looked good, and the coolant appeared fairly new. I couldn’t find any record of a coolant service outside of the last timing-belt replacement at 143k miles, I’m at 183k now. so I’m still glad I did it. Now I know everything has been gone through properly and should be good until the next timing-belt service. Those Ts were definitely tough to get off! Interestingly, the new Toyota-recommended Ts looked quite a bit different from the ones that were already installed.

The top one looks to be genuine Toyota, the bottom one is Dorman. I haven't had any luck with the few Dorman parts that I have used in the past.

Could you post up the brake feel after you get the pads bedded? Looking into the same set up later on once I get the Hundy back on the road.
 
Got the wolfbox g900 tripro dialed in as it takes some getting used to. I ended up needing a custom mount from Lumberjack Engineering to get the drop needed to clear the Ben3d ScanGauge 3 mount. I also opted to mount camera inside the vehicle and found that getting it as close to the rear glass as possible cut the glare.

I ran the fuse tap to the ignition fuse in driver footpanel as the OBD port is used for the ScanGauge. Really like the setup!

That looks really slick. I never thought I would like a digital mirror but have found the one in our 250 to be super useful (especially when we're loaded to the roof with kids and dogs).
 
Got it back from my mechanic from a valve cover gasket replacement; while he was in there he also replaced the PCV valve and all the ignition coil tubes.

Today and yesterday I replaced all the spark plugs and ignition coils with new OEM units, 8 Densos each. About 6 of the old coils were ebay fakes, no branding on them whatsoever.

During cleanup, I snapped a bolt for the metal clamp that attaches to the valve cover, the one that holds all the hoses. One bolt is still in so it should be fine for my weekend, but I'll definitely have my mechanic deal with the extraction of the bolt.

Installed a new Asin door lock actuator assembly in the left rear this morning. I’d successfully changed the electric motors in the rear hatch and both front doors, however, the housing started to break on the left rear when I started prying it apart. I picked up a complete new Asin assembly from Rockauto for $109 plus tax and shipping. For that price it’s an easier and longer lasting fix that’s hard to beat.

Here is the old worn out one that lasted 230,000 miles and 25 years. It had failed to the point that the door wouldn’t open from the inside or out on a hot day.

Replaced coils with King springs as my rear pressure were on the higher end of the spec.

Pressures as follows;

OEM springs:
Front = 6.5
Rear = 6.5

King Springs:

Front = 5.3
Rear = 2.3

Measurements were taken with empty cargo (no 3rd rows) and half tank of gas. Unplugging sensor had no difference.

King springs yielded about -1 and -4~ front and rear.

Surprised that the King springs would give a significant difference in pressures. Despite that, the truck seems to ride fine, no difference in height or ride quality.

I have an upcoming road trip with 4 adults and a 16 month old along with luggage and gear so I think the low pressures will come in clutch. Going to leave the sensors alone for now

Will see what pressures are once the springs settle.
