She’s a beauty. As much as I love my dual-locked ‘98, I’ve always pictured a pristine 06 in the future.
Going from a 2000 to an '06 felt like an entirely different car. And it's much easier to add a rear locker than it is a transmission and VVTi.
I think If I were to buy a 100 stock it would need to be a vvti 5 speed or a 5 speed fte

About to start working on adding a fan to cool my A/C condenser while sitting stationary. I thought my MIL added a kill switch take care of a parasitic draw and I was going to undo that mod and reuse the switch for the fan if it was rated for it. But looking at where they have this switch wired up to, I’m not sure what that switch actually does. It runs to the fuse for the door locks if I’m looking at the right fuse diagram. Have yall seen a switch added using this fuse location before? 2005 cruiser. I’m probably going to undo it anyways, but figured ask yall.
Nice! Yeah I agree with the 100. I don't drive mine much since it's a "trip only" car but when I do I always think how nice it is to drive and has none of the techo bull**** in cars these days.
I'm with you there. I don't know that I'll ever buy a modern vehicle at this point. The stuff before about 10 years ago in most cases feels like a much better driving experience, more intuitive controls, easier to work on, less to break, better quality etc. etc.
It's really interesting that you say that.. I sold my 2024 Integra Type S in favor of a 20 year old vehicle.
It's hard for me to explain, but the newer vehicles, while often 'superior' on paper, seem to lack soul. My 06 LX seems like it was crafted with forethought, and purpose. My integra felt like it was made to look good in a press release.

After an extended process of lubricating, cleaning and praying I finally got the sunroof to close again and cleaned the drain tubes to flow free. I decided to leave the actuator motor electrically disconnected and sunroof shut.
She looks great!
Hooked up a used OEM ac condenser fan. She was severely struggling while sitting in traffic/carpool line. It would start blowing almost warm after a few min. With the fan hooked up and running, it stays ice cold now. Just waiting on OEM pigtails and connector housings so I can hook it up to the pressure switch like I’d like to.
Edit: I’m questioning the accuracy of this infrared thermo right now, but this is after 10 min of sitting stationary in 90 degree full sun.

So… this is happening this week. Apparently the 99 is much more involved to change the D light than the regular 100-series. Lots of screws on a separate PBC and ribbon cables. Thanks to Patch on YouTube for his teardown.
A thanks to another YouTuber for his teardown on how to remove the steering wheel (unplanned) bc my steering wheel motors are poop. I needed to remove the steering wheel to clear the gauge cluster.
Now that everything is torn apart, I need to wait for bulbs to show up.

From what I read before recently installing mine, the pressure switch might not run it as often as you'd like. I'd like mine to automatically switch on while AC is on and below a certain speed, but I'm not sure of an easy way to do that. For now I plan on keeping it a manual switch.
Did you pass your wire harness through the large grommet on the driver side firewall? I toyed with a permanent switch too, but was hoping for a more hands off solution.
I had already added a new hole/grommet to the drive side firewall. There's that slightly raised spot with two wings, right above the giant existing wire harness/grommet, that looks like something like where a clutch master cylinder would go. Another user here posted about drilling through that spot, there's nothing behind it on the interior, and you can add a 1-1/8" (or maybe it was 1-1/16") hole there. The grommet is stepped, I can trim it down as I add more wires through it.
