Decided it was time to bring the lx up to modern times. Teyes cc3 2k + replaced all the speakers from the ML sound system + new amps + 2 12inch subs + new backup cam. Anyone waiting to pull the trigger on the teyes cc3 2k heres your sign to do it. its a amazing quality of life upgrade and seems to work flawlessly for me.

I recently installed the T’eyes CC3 unit and it’sa huge improvement. When you did you amp install did you have to do anything special when you ripped out the old ML amp etc?

Wife just returned from Tokyo and got me some “maintenance parts”

For the record, teyes works well on LX but LC. LCs end up with unbearable static noise and hum. Not sure anyone successfully got rid of it on an LC to-date.

Only solution thus far is to rip out the factory amp and installing an aftermarket amp

I had a shop do the install so not sure.

Finally got around to doing some rust repair on the drivers side rear quarter panel. Got the new patch panel made up out of 18g and will get it welded in tomorrow morning. Bought some aerosol color match paint/primer. It should look good enough since it will be hidden behind the bumper anyway. Took the time treat the surface rust with converter and spray some cavity wax inside as well.

Finally got it all painted up before the cold snap hit here in N GA. Touch up paint from AutomotiveTouchup.com came out pretty good imo.

Nice! What did this cost you?

Just O/L/F, Mobil1 5W-30, Mobil1 filter, and greased the ol' driveshaft...need to get wire brush and fluid film applied when it warms up a little here in VA. 30 degrees here this morning...

I'd love to see a video demo of it starting up, connecting to a phone for carplay, as well as controling HVAC.

Seriously considering getting the sherpa rack for the LX. I think this is the cheapest I've ever seen this rack. Talk me out of it please.

Not the best video but here you go. Excuse the dirty screen xD

Also because this is essentially an Android tablet there’sa lot of customization. If you’re not familiar with the Android ecosystem it can be overwhelming. I basically went through every menu to figure out what’s what.

Perfect example in this video, when i first started it up o was wondering why my CarPlay wasn’t booting up straight away. Until i figured out the autorun option where you pick apps (i think up to three) run on boot up. Definitely spend time going through everything once you get it up and running.
