Drain from AT pan is step 1 of the process.Ditto. More info needed. Did you do a drain and fill, full flush...etc?
Step 2 is setting up a fill tube using an elbow fitting to the fill plug of the transmission and the other end has the funnel for fill fresh fluid (I have a sealed AT non-dipstick type on my 06)
Step 3 is to disconnect the cooler outlet hose on the radiator side and point that down on a clear bucket to catch the old fluid. (See image below)
Step 4 is turn the engine on and let the old AT fluid spew out in the bucket WHILE filling it with new WS ATF. Periodically stop the engine to inspect the ATF coming out of the hose if it’s still dark or clear. Rule of thumb is the amount of fluid that comes out should be the same amount of fluid you should be putting in.
Repeat the process until clear WS ATF is observed.
Once identified that it’s clear, process is done and now you just fill it until you see overflow from the fill plug (use another bucket or catch pan to minimize atf mess in your work area).
It should perform a little better. Pre fluid exchange it was performing okay I just wanted to be proactive doing it. Temps should be a little better during hotter days especially summer is just around the corner.Any noticeable difference driving?
