I replaced my OEM Grill with an Alpha Garage grill w/ 3 raptor lights on my ‘04 LX470. Added some new OEM assemblies with Morimoto HID bulbs. Now I have to work on adjusting them lol.

Greased driveshafts. Clunk is reduced but still noticeable. I'm hoping over a few miles it helps a bit more.
Find a stretched of road and drive forward and reverse 5-10 mph and keep it under load (do not coast) and do it several times. The grease will work it's way to the splines

Is there a color code? Could you post part #?
Hey, I posted part #s on the last page a few posts below my pic, here they are:

Disc Chrome Painted Wheel : 4261A-60160 QTY:4
Wheel Cap: 42603-60680 QTY:4

Parts are still available from the dealer for now. I used Lewis Toyota of Topeka.

The other 3 wheels arrived today. All with matching center caps..

oil change and cleaned the rear hatch and tail gate. I used the cutting compound to clean up the paint then waxed it. since the last oil change which was 14 months ago, i only drove it less than 3000 miles. She has 213K on the odo.

Replaced the door lock actuator motor on the driver's side door. The job was a lot smoother than I expected it to be. The passenger side is starting to fail to lock sometimes now, and the tail gate is failing to unlock sometimes, so next weekend I'll replace all 4 remaining for good measure now that I know how to do it.

The motors are available on Amazon for $11 for anybody looking for them:

Just did the other 4 door lock actuator motors. Pulled everything apart in the morning, swapped the motors, epoxied the housings back together, clamped them and let them cure for 6 hours, and then slapped it all back together.

I only broke two plastic clip during the whole job! The locks are super snappy now and, well, they lock and unlock.

The only thing I'm unsure of, is ... are the door locks in these trucks supposed to unlock when you pull the door handle? For the life of me I can't remember if the used to, but they definitely don't now 🤔

On my 2002 LX, if the doors are locked and you pull an interior door handle, the doors do not unlock.

I replaced the transmission fluid today. Got all twelve quarts using the 'drain the pan, then two quarts at a time via the transmission cooler line' method.

The 45 degree pliers weren't the right tool for the clamp; I used boring pliers.
The hose fit perfect >>> 1/2" OD | 3/8" ID. I got it and the bucket at Home Depot.

Pliers for tube placement
Angle cut in the pipe so pliers aren't blocking flow
Cardboard and towel not pictured to capture dripping pliers when resetting

For some reason it took me forever to find the right place to attach the tube. Thanks out to 2001LC's master thread. It's the top tube as the lines come into the engine bay on the passenger side of the radiator!

The fluid was reddish-brown. Not bad considering I've never touched the transmission fluid and I've had the car for twelve years and 80k miles. No records came with it so I don't know if it had ever been done until now. Gertrude has 150k.

I immediately noticed an improvement (reduction) in the clunk sound when changing from drive to reverse and vice-versa.

Just treated myself to a new head unit and reverse camera as the store had 30% off.... Getting installed in a couple of weeks as I'm time poor and don't want a new installed head unit to be done badly - I'd end up with wires everywhere.

Looking into some brass heater T's which seem reasonably priced, but the hoses seem super expensive for such short pieces? Not sure why that would be but figure if I'm gonna do the T's it's not gonna hurt to replace the hoses at the same time right?

Need the aircon re-gassing too (hopefully that's all it is - I read the air con won't kick in if the pressure isn't there. If it doesn't work after a regass then it could be an expensive fix. But I'm ever the optimist, usually.

I did also use a rotating garden hose sprayer, to go from front to back under the car and shake off some dusty/sandy dirt - quite impressed how well it did.

towed my 02 with my 00.....melted the tensioner pulley, and dropped the belt, but the electric brake booster makes it an easy to manage tow. Added some anchors and chain, then pulled into the garage with the winch. Having 200 watt of solar, and a dc-dc charge controller made sure the batteries were all full and healthy. Now to change the parts out, so it can be driven over to another shop for TC fun stuff.

Nice work on leaving an acute enough angle on your chain! 👍

Oh no! What happened?

TLDR: Mud and Radiators aren’t friends.

Went down a couple trails with some water crossings and a little bit of mud mixed in. Well, radiator ended up getting most if not all the fins plugged up with mud and truck wouldn’t cool. Got hot and heard steam coming from coolant reservoir tank beside the radiator. Found a long stick and knocked the cap off to let all the hot coolant out. Refilled rad and cleaned it best we could, but would still overheat after only a couple miles. Ended up trailering it 3.5 hours home.

Once we finally got it home, I washed the radiator for about an hour with my coil cleaner attachment for a water hose and probably got half a five gallon bucket worth of mud out of it. Rechecked coolant level and took it on a 30 minute drive. All is well with the world :)
