After seeing Duisers comparison picture of the recovery points, I ordered aftermarket ones.
Can't wait to put them on, although I have to wait till after Xmas as it will be my Xmas present. :)

The correct spelling is "Christmas"! and don't forget it.

recoated with the rattle can bed liner spray.
Hrmm, hadn't considered that - worth a try as yes, I'm planning on using them. Not really a rock crawler but planning on hitting the trails.

That's sage advice, for which I used my savings for gambling on sporting events.

I skipped the WKOR powder coating on mine and I promptly took mine on a trip where I dragged the slider along a rock ever so gently. Sliders are a great investment, but powdercoating them is of debatable value.

While I was in San Francisco last week some bum decided that he needed to break my passenger side quarter glass to extract a $200 pea coat that was in a garment bag. He also took my well stocked first aid kit, but hopefully it was to repair his shattered hand. One can only hope. So today I had the glass replaced, which cost way more than the amount of the stolen goods. Also I removed the hideous fender flares.

If anyone is interested in removing the flares please be aware that it will leave some paint damage because some of the retaining screws are tapped pretty deep into the paint. To remove all the adhesive I used a plastic caulk forming tool (but any sharp plastic will work), goof off and elbow grease as well as a good washing after wards. Overall the results are pretty good. I am still planning on using a clay bar to get it looking even better. Below are some of the pics I took of the removal.

Paid too much to have starter replaced. Laid up post knee surgery, need truck, had to bite the bullet! !

I love the bed liner spray. Sprayed my sliders and my gamviti. Stuff is great.

Yah, I've been thinking about it and am convinced you guys are right - I chose not to have MetalTech PC these as they recommend you have it done locally as they may get scratched in transit. If they are worried about them getting damaged while strapped to a pallet in the back of a delivery truck, I can't imagine what they'd look like after one decent trail.

Thanks for the heads up, guys - Rust-Oleum bed liner, here I come!

Could this bedliner also be used to coat body panels? I've been thinking about painting everything from the bottom of the side trim-piece down and removing the running boards.

New radiator and fan shroud. Also all new rear brake oem hardware - rotors, pads, fit kit, shim kit, guide pins, and dust boots. Braking is almost MR2 like (rear biased) compared to last 50k miles I've had the 100.

Let's hear more about the tent. I have been researching them and think it would be a cool addition. Look forward to getting one for camping. What do you think of it? Does the truck sway when moving around in the tent? Does the tent seem well supported when extended from roof?

I'll take one in black.

Here is my desert cabin attached to my LC.

Oil and filter, M1 and 209, changed out 4 quarts of transmission fluid with Valvoline, greased drive shaft, MAF and throttle body clean. Hunted down a small cargo area leak, as suspected the gasket sealing the 3rd brake light cover trim piece had failed. Tip: close all windows, fan on high, fresh air intake selected to pressurize the vehicle and use soapy water from a foaming hand cleaner bottle to look for bubbles.

No reason the soapy water trick wouldn't work around the windshield or sun roof etc.

Figured out my crazy squeak, It was the slider pressed up against the pinch weld. It is like a new truck now.

Dinged the rear bumper on a drop off. Time to get a metal version.

Got my 16's back from powder coating, and used some rustoleum gloss black for the center caps...looks so much better now.

Sliders are next...just not sure what kind. Now Bed has my mind swirling about just getting them without coating and throwing on some truck bedliner. All I can think about now is my son or wife slipping on them in the rain.

Dropped my truck off at Slee for service and some bolt on goodies. Slee belly plate, Factor 55 Pro Link, cross drilled/slots rotors and new pads front and rear (WOW did that make a difference!), and finally added the URBs I bought over a year ago. As always, very impressed with Slee's customer service, attention to detail and quality of work. I'm lucky to live 20 minutes away!
