Polished and ceramic coated the 100 this weekend! Hate to say it, but I had neglected the paint for some time. Took two weekends to clay, decon, and polish.

great work - care to share your equipment/products used?

Thank you!

Machine: Rupes Bigfoot LR15 MkII
Pads: Mostly Rupes DA Yellow Wool. I used the DA Blue Wool on the rear.
Polish: Mostly Rupes DA Fine (Yellow) Polish, but switched to the DA Coarse (Blue) Polish for the rear.
Clay: I used Nanoskin Autoscrub Blue till I blew it up and switched to a grey clay (I don't recall the brand)
Decon: Nanolex Iron Remover
Pre-foam: Aenso Polaris Snow Foam, 1:10 ratio in a MTM Foam Lance
Soap: Sonax Gold Shampoo
Coating: Fictech 1yr Ceramic

I could have finished out the vehicle with a DA yellow or white foam pad, but the combinations I used above finished out so well, that it wasn't worth a second step polish given it's white paint and a daily driver.

My pressure washer setup is overkill, but here's a picture of it. If you know, you know. Some day, I'll finish plumbing it out to look nice.

Edit: added coating.

i like that air hose reel

Started replacing the LCA bushings and CV axles project. Passenger side is all taken apart. The 555 BJ is still in fairly good shape but the boot seems to be all loose but no rips! Never seen a boot do that!

I was really liking your finished product and wondering what you used. I want mine to look like that.

Then I saw the extensive list... and realized why mine doesn't look like that.
That is a hell of a lot of work! Good for you!

Beginning to wrap up my Ramsey winch rebuild. Gave it a good cleaning, replaced the broken cam ring and painted it with Rustoleum gloss charcoal gray. I also replaced the solenoids (one was bad) with an Albright contactor and managed to get it all to fit inside the control box. I strongly considered synthetic cable but ended up deciding on steel cable this time around, largely due price, but also because my rig sits in the weather and I don't foresee doing a ton of winching.

Decided it was time to install some new headlights. This is the actual product I installed: Amazon product ASIN B07V5XCJT8
As you can see in this pic, which is my OEM lights, the plastic housing is severely scratched particularly the left low beam light.

Here's after install with the lights off. Looks pretty good to me and prefer the dark housing. Unfortunately, broke one of the plastic trim pieces as the plastic piece holding it in wouldn't come out easily. Used some super glue on it, but otherwise not really bothered by it.

A quick pic with the halo daytime running lights on as well as the low beams. The low beam bulbs look pretty cheap to me, so I already have some new ones ordered and should arrive tomorrow as well as new high beams.

Overall, pretty

happy with them and pretty easy to install (except for the plastic trim piece).

Update: the bulbs it comes with work, but not great. I HIGHLY recommend installing new bulbs before installing the housing as you’ll have a lot more space to work. Also, the low beam bulb is a H7, not a 9005. Also, I thought the halo lights would work as DRLs, but they don’t. They only turn on when the headlights are
How much of an improvement over OEM was the light output.

Got it from paranoid fabrication. Link is below. As for the lights, it’s the SS3 pro round version.

What’s pictured on the site is the Baja design lighting. As you can see, it doesn’t fill the area as nicely as the diode dynamic lighting.

Nice thanks for the link 👍

I would say there’s basically little to no improvement of light output compared to OEM. I wish they went a small step further to improve the output or make it support LED bulbs, but it looks like they just copied the OEM housing design including the projectors and made it a single piece, black interior, and halo LEDs. It’s really a aesthetic change and not a functional improvement. Certainly much cheaper than OEM if you need to replace them.

Making very slow progress on LCA bushings refresh. So far I have taken everything off and have failed spectacularly in my efforts to take off the frame side bushing. Broke the 5/8" Acme rod but the bushing didn't even budge!

That is very disappointing to see! Luckily you have a long enough rod to lop that off and try again, are you using washers between the nuts and the driving socket/receiver?
