Finished up the IM Front bumper install yesterday. Thanks a bunch to @rrc swb for swinging by and helping with the mounting/alignment. It definitely helped to speed things up. Ended up painting the recovery hooks in tractor red. I also threw on an old set of PIAA LED spots that were on my TJ. I'll use the IM wiring kit to hook them up. I have to do some fine adjustments to the alignment on the passenger side. It looks slight off (~5mm) and probably so due to the dings on that fender flare.

Impressions so far....
- The bumper is well made, give the truck a tough guy look
- Overall, the install was very simple, except for the tricky crush tube that goes inside the chassis
- The M14x100mm bolt for the passenger side doesn't allow to discard the factory hook. I am not a big fan of that hook hanging so low and peeking out from under the bumper. I've ordered a new set of bolts from McMaster Carr and will replace it later.
- The road noise level inside the cab has definitely gone up, way up. With the Cooper ATs, I had some increased road noise from the Michelins that came with the LX. Over the past few months, my ears were tuned to that. This noise level will take a few more days to get used to.
- The long bolts going through the chassis and crush tube are at least 20mm too long. They stick out quite a bit. If they end up being a problem, I'll trim them later.
- The front definitely sags quite a bit on the conventional LC suspension using OEM LC shocks. I plan to install the IM Stage 2 setup with Foam Cell Pro shocks this weekend and will adjust the TBs to level out the LX.
- As expected, the turn signals are hyper flashing. Replacement flasher unit is on the way.
- Fog lights wired to the factory circuit are pretty bright. I might switch to HIDs when retrofitting the headlights.

@FxFormat No more pics if your going to wear socks with flip-flops.
When working on vehicle choice of footwear should be as follows crocs, flip-flops (absolutely no socks), or bare feet.

Hey give the man a break, he’s at home it’s not like he’s out in public wearing them! (giving benefit of the doubt, just don’t tell us if you do wear them in public)

The wife got me some new leather for 'Old Faithful'. I've had this 2000 rig since 2003, and it's about time to spruce her up some.

For those interested and near San Antonio, TX, I got this done at Dealer Source near the airport. Ask for Mitch. I saw an LX470 get this done and was fairly impressed. It's around the ballpark of $2000 for all 3 rows including armrest

Well i spent a few hours replacing bushing for the swaybar and the swaybar ends. They were completely trashed. I’ll save the oem and links as spares when i buy new bush for them.

the rest swaybar bush seems to be ok, but i figure since i have the whole refresh kit might as well replace them too.

Also noticed a little bit of vibration when I’m drive and have my foot on the brake pedal sitting in stop and go traffic. Yotamd mentioned that it could be the diff arm bushing, got my pry bar out and there does seem to be movement just not sure how much movement is considered “ok”

Here’s a clip of the video would love some input

Thank you. Where’d you get yours from? They’re not cheap from what I’ve seen but i don’t have time to press out that bush
For both it was around $220 shipping included from partssouq.com. Would also suggest to check with your local dealership maybe they can offer a lower price (cost of part is around $80+ each only) . Yeah not cheap but if it will last another 250k miles, I think it’s worth it.

Continued the endless pursuit for the perfect interior layout that allows me to carry offroad gear, my spare, emergency supplies, and still have space for workhorse stuff. Part of me is very tempted to rip out carpeting and spray in bedliner, but i know it’ll be super loud, poorly insulated, and will probably reek for a while. Some day though maybe.

I also started designing a platform deck in CAD that fits on the driver’s side in the rear to function as storage / sleeping, but more on that if I make progress with it.

This has been a super fun truck so far. Hit the jackpot and inherited it from my grandma as my first vehicle, and it’s been a fun one to mess around with so far.

I bedlinered my 3rd gen 4 runner interior. Wasn’t worth it.

Didn’t recall there were two of these arms. Thanks I’ll email the dealer and see what they can do. I got my cupholder for the lx from the dealer for $85 free shipping can’t complain about that

Ok please tell me what wires you used to tap in for the halo
The side parking lights. They don't illuminate with the DRLs, which are really just low voltage to the high beams. I'm sure it's possible to make them work as DRLs but it would be much more difficult.

Yeah you’d probably have to install a relay to have them turn off when you turn on the low beams
