I like that look. How did you mount the 7 pin in the OEM bumper like that? did you have to drill through the rear crossmember?
Thanks @phatdragon, labor of love on this whole project but happy how it turned out. I didn’t have to drill anything in the crossmember, I used the hole to the far left in the picture. A bit of a pain to get it lined up properly, but started by drilling a small hole in the bumper cover at first, that helped to make sure I was lined up properly before drilling out the proper size hole.

Thanks for the trailer plug idea! Did mine today. View attachment 2563902
Nice, this forum has given me so much help and great ideas since I bought the truck, glad I can pay it forward in some way! If you want to get the colors matched up, consider trying duplicolor color match in rattle can. I used it just recently to clean up a fender and was pleased with how well it matched my original paint, even with it being 20+ years old now.

Awesome thanks

My whole life has been a series of poor choices and hasty decisions. I see no reason to change now.
Hahahahahahahaha

Like I said, many on my side as well.

Bought a Duralast Platinum AGM Battery H8-AGM Group Size 49, to replace my crappy Optima Red Top size 35 that always gave me problems. Advance Auto tested my Optima and said it was fine and wouldn't replace. I could have fought them and tried to get them to load test, but I just wanted a larger battery that wouldn't strand me if I left my door open for a couple minutes like the Optima would. Duralast with 900 CCA & 160 min reserve vs the 720 CCA & 90 min reserve on the Optima. Already have the diode mod and started much easier with the new battery.

Interesting. Any issues with fitment on that battery? I have a SuperStart Extreme battery that was purchased by PO on 09/2019 and it seems to be a bit flaky? Like if I am working on the car with the doors open for an hour or so it sometimes struggles to start the car. keep in mine all my interior bulbs are LED so I doubt the drain is too much. I could probably stand to clean and grease the terminals.

@Sayer Lane, those look awesome. Are they the 15 degree version? Is it just black rattlecan paint on there? I see the value in DIY'ing the paint if its just getting scratched anyway.
Thanks! These are the 15 degree version. I used Rustoleum self etching primer and finished them with Rustoleum professional grade enamel. The powder coat option was $150 more but like you say, they’re going to be scratched up in the long run so this makes for easy touch ups

I went through 2 red tops before going with an Odyssey. So far so good.
The best thing about the redtop was its light weight, easy to remove and carry into auto store for testing (and to be told it was fine).

Gave Crusty another workout at Windrock last Saturday. He's had a rough go at it recently receiving another tattoo. This time in the driver side door.
This was from being slung sideways into a stump while climbing. Sliders may have helped. Either way, ordering sliders as we speak. Wanted to order these last summer but didn't pull the trigger....Dang.

Replaced the starter battery, which had an 11/14 sticker on it, so I figured it was time, even though it was still working fine and recently tested fine. . . put in an Interstate 27F (thanks, Costco!)

Also tried to install my maxtrax mounting pins using Yakima adapters on the factory rack crossbars, but it turns out I don't have room to mount these and the Yakima box on the roof. Front ones fit fine, but the maxtrax (is that the plural of maxtrax?) foul the top crossbar screw handle at the rear.

So I could just bungee the rear (free) or go superdeluxe and buy a pair of these at $90 each (ouch): K9 Maxtrax / Rotopax 90 Degree Mount (Sold Individually) - https://www.equipt1.com/products/k9-maxtrax-rotopax-90-degree-mount, and then mount those to the factory crossbars . . .

Recently hit 100k on the clock. Yesterday I replaced the Heater T's & six hoses, upper and lower radiator hoses, Thermostat, and gasket, & did a flush. Was actually moderately disappointed, for some reason I kind of wanted my heater t's to be in worse shape. They looked to be in great condition...

**Has anyone had an issue with Knipex hose clamp pliers breaking? The rotating jaw on the bottom half broke on my set. This was particularly frustrating because I bought them for this job.

100k. It is just a baby. How cute. Wait....those pliers broke on their first use⁉️I would be more than frustrated. (Since those cost like 5x what mine cost). I hope they give you your money back or at least exchange them. I would prefer my money back. I would have zero confidence remaining for any tool that broke the first time I touched it or 👀 at it. I once had a rivet gun break on my first day using it. VERY expensive as well. They sent me a replacement. But because of my first experience, I mostly avoid using it. When I do use it, I handle it like and a baby endangered bird.

dumdum train arrived at the station. renown wheel, meg hub.

will just need to get the proper resistor for the airbag and done.

and factory wheel is back on. nrg hub doesn’t consistently turn the cup that the TCS uses to measure wheel angle vs speed. resulting in some fun moments.

going to have a part machined to work.

Also a little more progress for the drawer system I am building.

After more than a month, I finally received my brake master cylinder from McGeorge Toyota. USPS is a mess right now and McGeorge customer service has been excellent in helping track it down and even had a backup ready to sent out via FedEx if USPS couldn’t pull through.

In she went...

I also picked up some replacement calipers to put in, but I’m still waiting on some OEM banjo bolts and washers. I think I’ll pick up some stainless steel brake hoses since I’m already waiting.

So as I started to bleed my brakes, my battery died so now I’m dead in the water until it’s charged up. I haven’t driven my 100 for more than a month already. 🙁
