Sprayed the wheels and put bora 1.25 spacers on. Looks so much better

They look great! I have pretty much the same wheels and have been meaning to paint them but not sure how to. Did you have the tires taken off the wheels? What cleaning agents and process did you use? Which paint?

Thanks in advance, neighbor!
Here is what I did. I did this same process for my old truck and after 3 years they still looked good. I kept the tires on the wheels. But since I had the wheels off to put on the bora bora spacers I laid them in the yard to be sprayed. I washed the wheels with soap/water and made sure they were dry. If not, the plasti-dip wont adhere. I then took some tire shine/gloss and applied it to the tires and made sure not to get any on the rims. I applied it to a sponge and then wiped it on the tire. The reason for doing this is so that the plasti-dip wont adhere to the tire and can be easily pealed off the tire after I was finished. I used two full cans of flat black plasti dip and sprayed the wheels. I tried to make sure when spraying to not get too close and cause runs in the paint. i put down many layers of paint as its stronger and wont peal or chip as easily. Waited for them to dry and popped them back on.

The fit is pretty great. You’ll need a spacer for a stock wheel to fit (lots of positive offset). Fortunately had a pair of spare Bora spacers lying around (the 200 series front hubs don’t match the 100 series).

This is a Mega. The fitting is spot on and only requires the 90 degree swing for everything to open as usual.

Why did you go with the Mega versus the Multi-fit?

My 4 yo son wanted a "Stormtrooper truck." This is the result so far.

Put Hella fog lights in the grille last weekend.

One of the LED headlights had a short so I am awaiting its replacement. Had to put the OEM light back on and go with the cyborg look, kinda like it.

Deleted roof rack and running boards. Replaced the front bumper with TJM and the rear bumper with the kit from Coastal Offroad.

The grille and headlight units are from www.landcruisergrilles.com with Morimoto Super7 Bi-LED Headlights. Still need to source some offroad lights for the grille.

The wheels are 20" Tundra sets.

Planning to build my low profile own sliders and either paint black or delete the side trim.

This is how it looked before the metamorphosis and a couple of the rear bumper build.

Greased the u-joints with Lucas green and slip yokes with valvoline fortified with moly. Guess what? Clunking nearly disappeared. Imagine that!

I'm replacing the catalytic converter with a Magnaflow "Exact Fit" cat. No welding so far. My current major hurdle is that I sheared one of the studs coming out of the exhaust manifold, so yeah. I need to figure out how I am going to get that bad boy out. The current plan is to jam two nuts on what is left of the stud, put two wrenches on that and hopefully be able to twist it out. Otherwise I need to take out the passenger side exhaust manifold.

Brave man

drilling into the A pillar actually scares me more than cutting a giant hole in the fender.
I felt that way too so I just went with magnets.
