and since i'm just full of psa's, if you have a 76, no idea about the others you will have to clearance the housing for chrome moly's to fit. thankfully i've discovered all these little tidbits while sitting in the shop and not on the trail with the broken axle pulled and thinking you were smart and had spare axles with you. that's all, i'm going out and casting bullets for the evening

Filled my 80 with elk. Spent a week banging around the big belts in snow, mud and ice. Slept in it, glassed in it and used it basicly as a hunting buggy on "roads" that should have had a full sized vehicle. Then last day filled it up with my cow elk. Couldnt have asked for a better vehicle for this trip.
 
No pictures of the 80 this time. But got another elk in the back last night. The last one was my buddies but this one filled my tag. The 80 did well again getting me around for the day on a ranch while I spotted from overlooks. around 4pm I spotted about 50-100 elk in a small clearing surrounded by trees, willows and the river which only left one path to approach them. As you expect i got busted and the took off into the trees. I followed them a bit and was able to got a shot at a cow between the trees. I only had about 30 min of full daylight so I new i had to work fast. Breaking her down by myself in the dark was not fun. But I was able to get the Cruiser through the woods and within 50 yards of her. I dont think I would have gotten her all out that night if i hadnt been able to drive the truck in that close.

I got hit. Nobody got hurt. Where should I take it in Bozeman or nearby?
 
if you want to go to Townsend, Top Gun autobody opened a satellite shop in the old Ford dealership building.
Top Gun is a local to me Helena shop who I go to here in Helena.

did the radiator support get pushed in? might be abit more damage than you think
did the driver fender get damaged?
did the person who hit you have insurance?
you might want to spring for a new matching passenger side headlight assembly
does your insurance specify OEM parts? ours did when the wife smacked a deer several years ago

I already have a new headlight assembly on the passenger side.

The hood is creased. The drives door is popping and the speaker in the door has stopped working. Didn't lose any fluids though. I haven’t checked AC either.
 
It sounds like my LX is going to be totalled. @3_puppies do you have front end parts on your shelves?

bummer, I was wondering about that,
no LX parts, just 100 series stuff at the moment, all but a hood.

did they give an estimate? or just tell you it's totalled?
did the airbag go off?
