Replaced the GX460 water pump. Dead at 89k miles. I noticed it was weeping during my last oil change. Thankfully the 1UR pump is easy to get to, not like the 2UZ.

Your ratchet straps seem like overkill. Were you out of twine?

Overkill on straps most definitely. Just look how much steel it takes to contain the wood once it’s home. I’ve got a couple of these racks. I can fill them with a couple trailer loads. Or 5-6 short bed Tacoma trips.

Good to know. We went out this summer unaware the bridge was under construction. Had to back track to the interstate.

so here is my psa for the evening, if you have a 76, 77 and i believe 78 fj40/55 toyota in their infinite wisdom used a 3/8" longer outer axle. i don't know if these are even available anymore but the proper action is you buy lockouts for 79 onward with your new axles that said i read some old posts from back in the day where guys would take a fender washer and bolt it into the end of the shorter shaft. i considered it but knowing how i use the 40 i decided to get new lockouts with chrome moly innerds to mate to the longfield axles.
