To add to the desk that I have been building for my daughter's Christmas gift my wife wanted to make stars for our tree and one for her brother.

Are those fused glass? They look great! I created a monster when I got my wife started doing stained glass. One good thing to come of it though is that she has learned the importance of having good tools and now understands me a little more. Made Christmas shopping easy for her this year. She's getting a ring saw for cutting glass.

Yes, those are fused pieces. Besides stained ( in lead) glass she does fused as well. She has 3 kilns, a ring saw, grinder wheels, a diamond blade tile saw. Her latest tool is a pneumatic murrini chopper. She gets it about tools.

organizing and throwing a lot of stuff out

I'm assembling all of the parts, new and used, to finally replace my front drivers side spindle, hub, flange, bearings, and axle on my Hundy. I'm not going to be short of parts when that darn frozen spindle nut gets cut off and trashed, for good.

I recently added to my RCI gas tank skid plate. The RCI steel gas tank skidplate is very heavy duty on my GX 460. But it has a short, up curve in the front, to protect the front of the plastic gas tank. Good protection but still leaves the upper front of the gas tank unprotected from that sharp pointy stick that has my name on it. You know the one that would flip up and get into that one area to reek havoc underneath your rig, 4 hours from the nearest repair shop. I could already see where brush had rubbed the plastic gas tank from off roading.

So I had the stock sheet metal GX gas tank skid I had removed when I put on the RCI skid. It did curve up in front to cover the gas tank.
I took a hand held cut off wheel and did some rough measurements of what I could use from the stock skid. A few moments later, I had a piece of metal that I could bolt to the HD RCI skid. I guessed pretty well, and bolted the add on Gas tank skid to the HD one and now feel that weak point is covered up better.
Difficult to get a picture from underneath, but it will do a better job than nothing at all.

The stainless lines alone make such a huge difference.
The Akebono brake pads make a huge difference as well. My son needed rear pads on his GX and we replaced them with Akebono and noticed a difference just on the Rears so we did the same on the front for his truck and it made me a believer to do all around on mine. I used to use them on my Mercedes.

Thanks for your opinions on Akebono brake pads. When my current pads wear down on my GX, I will switch over to these for better stopping power.

Where and what brand of Stainless Steel brake lines did you get?

Technically, this update does not belong here as I am not doing the work. The guy working the install on the 3rds sent me status pictures. Mixed feelings about not doing the work myself, found out I have a torn disc after I ordered them. Local guy was advertising and a friend that worked with him at Toyota gave him a good endorsement.

Tire rotation and threw these on. Had better luck than @alia176 and got the fronts off in one piece. Gotta test them soon.
