I had some tasty treats waiting for me that had collected inside the drain plug. 😬

The oil itself didn't feel gritty... I'm wondering what this could be. Was avoiding taking off the oil pan but it's inevitable.
Yikes dude, that's a scary sight. Can you figure out if those particles are ferrous (magnetic) or alum?

Great question! Tough to tell what the chunks are made of.

I got a weird one here. This fibrous collection was found under the radiator cap in the 2uz-fe engine. This engine does have a blown head gasket and I've been driving it after adding Barr's HG fix elixir in the coolant system. Any idea where this could've come from? When the HG blew, there was volcanic eruptions in the overflow tank and cyl #3 misfire was happening. All of this stopped after the addition of the magic elixir but this stuff started to appear. This isn't part of the HG itself is it? The elixir doesn't have any fiberous material in it, only Cu or Alum flakes.

Strange. A quick search says the 2UZ HG is SS with Viton Rubber, this looks more like a felt gasket material.

I seem to recall a mat under the hood doe heat/noise that had a fiber like that. Is it possible to fell from there?

That's black though isn't it?

Hood liner can't end up inside the coolant system unless I introduced it!!

The SS/Viton head gaskets are tough. The UZs are legendary! What happened?

Supercharging a 22rte long block. Got the inner intake in.

Fuel rail and injectors are in.

Took advantage of the nice day and made some progress. Still working out the wiring harness.

Replaced the front main seal and oil pump. That should solve the oil slick. Installed the supercharger crankshaft pulley. Put together the belt pulley puzzle too.
