What did you do with your Tundra or Sequoia this weekend?

My 2005 tundra came when I bought it with a set of Icon shocks and struts. The guy I got it from said they were there when he bought it which was a few years ago. I decided to take them off and get them serviced last weekend. Something happened with one of the needed tools according to the shop I took them to so it up in the air when they will be able to finish them. Wanting to have the truck drivable, I got a set of Rancho quick lift struts for $350 from rock auto and put on some used Eibach rears I had from my last tundra. While I had it on the jack stands I replaced the LBJs, steering rack bushings, tightened up the sway bar links, and greased the Camburg UCAs. I haven’t driven much yet with the Ranchos but they sure feel better than the worn out Icons did. Also had a bad squeak prior to doing the work that is now thankfully gone! I've got a big trip planned for the first week of June, driving out to New Mexico from South Carolina to shoot in a long range rifle match and get some high desert wheeling in while I'm there! My Tundra isn't the prettiest but trying to get it in top shape before working on making it look good!View attachment 4133783

Went to Sedona for the first time last week and man, I wish we had a few more days out there.

Got to run the Outlaw Trail and it was really nice. I specifically chose it because it was rated moderate and we had our 3 small kids with us. It turned out to be a great family friendly option enough fun technical spots to keep things exciting without ever feeling unsafe. We were able to let the kids enjoy themselves while still playing it very safe the whole time. Good mix of scenery and terrain too. Nothing crazy, but enough to keep you paying attention.

Highly recommend it for anyone with kids who wants a solid trail without too much risk

In the past month I installed a subwoofer under the driver's seat, hooked up a rear view camera, and installed Dobinson's 1.75" lift springs in the rear. My 2012 SR5 had the most base of factory radios, soon after I got the truck 3.5 years ago I upgraded the head unit and factory speakers but now that it has some mild bass it sounds about as good as it can with what I want to spend. The rear view camera is nice, I've gotten too used to having one in other vehicles so I can forget how fully you have to turn around and be cautious without a camera, especially on a big SUV - so this is a "luxury" upgrade for the old truck. The springs give it a more even stance, after adding the Bilstein 5100's last year I felt it looked a bit nose-high (wheel well measurements didn't really confirm that, but I didn't like the look). Now I think I have everything the way I want it on the truck, nothing more I can think to do given no one daily drives it. It's getting up there in age, has 211K miles, but I think it looks pretty good and I love it.

I looked up the specs of my 2005 DC on the Toyota website and found the truck came with keyless entry. While I did get three factory original keys with the truck, I did not get any keyless fobs. I ordered a pair off of Amazon for $17 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F8QL2RP1?tag=ihco-20) and got them programmed fairly easily following instructions from Grok. Nice little convenience"upgrade" ! I also hid my third key in a magnetic box just in case...
