What did you do with your Tundra or Sequoia this weekend?

I already posted over on tundras.com, but adding these helper airbags was one of the best mods I’ve ever done. Also tried E-85 for the first time, and the butt dyno says it definitely adds mucho HP gains. It’s wild how much oomph I got from a couple tanks.

I have the same air bags on mine but I added the daystar cradle to allow for more articulation.

What’s the cradle look like? Also, do you have any issues putting your truck up on a lift? I have a 2 post lift at my shop in Oklahoma and I was worried I would damage the bags if it let it get to full droop on the lift.

Zero issues. Just make sure to keep a minimum of 5 psi in them if bed is empty. I keep 15-20 in mine when not towing due to canopy, rhino rack, and spare 37 in the bed.

Those are pretty smart. Thanks for the tip.

Edit: I keep 25psi in mine because of the drawers, tools, camper shell. That’s what feels right so far when I’m on roads with big dips.

What is that you have under the fuel pump control module? Just a radiator to aid with heat dissipation?

Yeah looks like an aluminum heat dissipation type device.

My TRD PRO rear sway bar relation was high and low for about 5 years. It was inexpensive back then, installation was easy. Does not do much for cornering, but doesn't make the rear noticeably stiffer either. I was removing it a few times for winter offroading in deep snow, where articulation is the king. Installing back for summer.

Summer 2024 I had a 13ft aluminum canoe on roof rack, bed loaded with camping gear and 3000 miles ahead, mostly long gravel roads. Regretted I didn't put the sway bar back on, because the truck was a dangerously swaying barge.

Couple of weeks ago noticed creaking noises coming from back when starting off or braking. Turned out the bushing steel sleeves corroded where they touch the PU bushings, sway bar is no longer stout. The bar is also all chipped and rusty as hell. Took it off. For its price the proper rebuild is nonsense.

Now, I'm heading north w/ boat next summer again, and would love to have more stability. This time I think I'll give a try to Timbren SES. Have them on wife's Sequoia, they are good. I like the fact they are indestructible and require zero maintenance, unlike air bags. The suspension is tuned, as well as the truck has a few hundred pounds of extra goodies, but I think Timbrens can be shimmed to avoid engagement on unloaded or lightly loaded truck.

I have the Road Active Suspension setup on my Tundra, I am pleased with it aside from going with the standard duty and not HD. I don’t even know why they offer the standard duty to be honest. The truck rides great either way it though, definitely worth a look.
