Teaching my 15yr old to drive. I think he's better than he's older sister. My blood pressure was spiking higher when I taught my daughter!!

Took her out for a rip in the snow and was demanded that I do some donuts at the sledding hill. I thought figure 8's instead!

Drifting in 4Hi is super fun. Any snow on the ground and I'm sliding around that corner... As long as the coast is clear of course!

Took the 02 Sequoia up to Mt. Baker Hot Springs. We went up to the trailhead on Saturday afternoon, but everyone had the same idea, and the place was a bit crowded for my taste, so we decided to give it another go in the morning.

On Sunday morning it had warmed up to about 35 degrees, so the snow was turning into rain which turned the logging roads into a rutted out ice rink. Unlike Saturday, there was NOBODY on the road on Sunday morning. Had to have it in 4Low, with center diff locked, plus chains and at that, we were creeping along at less than 5 mph. I need to get some chains for all four tires, because there were some very sketchy spots and I was just praying I wasn't going to get stuck. A few white knuckle moments w/ 100ft drop on one side and ditch on the other.

Bottom line, I need to get some recovery gear in addition to full set of chains. At one point (Saturday evening when we first went up), we had to pull a kid out of a snow drift and all we had was a beefy tie-down strap that happened to be in the bed of his pickup.

Anyhoo, at least we had the hot springs to ourselves once we finally made it up there.

Also cleaned out the back so here's some shots of our sleeping platform, etc, which I'd actually finished a couple months back.

It's amazing how roomy Sequoias are inside. I was always amazed at the amount of room my 1st gen had when the 2nd row was removed. I'm not a small guy, and I always had ample room for a twin air mattress and all my hunting gear.

Spent some time around Moab. Doing a little bit of prerunning to find routes and campsites for some family camping. Now that I have a camper to drag around I have to change up how I find campsites. I'm used to bombing down whatever trail I see and camping at the end if I like it. Can't do that with a trailer

Only hit a side step on a rock ledge once. I figure once they're actually bent I'll replace them with sliders

Great time to be out there. 45 and sunny, no tourists.

Really beautiful!

What size tires and what lift?
Tires are 285/75r17 (34") and lift is 2-3" ish (didn't measure exactly.) King coilovers front, King shocks/Dobinsons leafs rear.

Installed new suspension and tires on my wife's 2019 Sequoia. Went with Dobinsons IMS front and rear, with 2.5" coils in the front (C59-720) and 2.5" coils in the rear (C59-719). JBA upper control arms in the front. So far very pleased with the JBA's. I have Camburg's on my 1st gen Tundra, which I like, but the JBA's will need less maintenance and they seem very well built.

BFG KO3's in 285/75-18. 34.8" diameter and 11.3" tread width. SCS F5's in matte black with asphalt accents. Very minor rubbing on passenger front well, fixed with a heat gun. Narrow tires look great, should give me good traction in the snow and when aired down, are lighter, less wear on the bearings, and were super easy to fit.

Definitely a more firm ride than stock. But feels planted and controlled. Not a very noticeable change in power to the wheels, though I expect fuel mileage to drop. Aligned great, and I have everything torqued to spec with witness marks.

I installed the Lensun 90w hood solar panel this past weekend. The install was pretty easy, the only issue I ran into was that the vinyl decal that gets installed first had 3-4 areas where it wasn't flat and had some damage which effected the install. It comes rolled up and when unraveling I noticed those areas, I thought it would flatten out once in the sun for about an hour but no luck. Overall, simple install however I'm only getting 52w out of a 90w panel. That seems to be the norm with these panels, I just needed enough wattage to maintain my 32qt fridge which not mistaken does that. I will need to double check how much I'm pulling.
