Got the Tree tinted at the end of the week.

Less fish bowl. No sunglasses required 😎

Mom sent photos of the 2008 sequoia I bought at 118,000. Sold to her at 150k.
Under my ownership I had to replace the 4WD actuator, brakes and all fluids. She recently replaced the starter, thermostat & shocks. It keeps trucking along.

Just in time to pick up a new camper -

Towed great with the cooler. Going up a mountain road around 40mph, temps were around 200-210.

I was hoping I could avoid air bags and it looks like my suspension calculations worked out. This is just with Dobinsons leafs. Trailer is about 6K wet, tongue weight of 450 or so. Looks pretty level, I'm happy with it.

What make camper?

My rear hatch handle finally broke and so I installed the rear hatch combo kit from Airdown Adventures. 1st Gen Sequoia Rear Hatch Combo Kit - https://aireddownadventures.myshopify.com/products/1st-gen-sequoia-rear-hatch-combo-kit. I can now open my door from the inside.

Curious how your interior cable pull is working. Mine is working fine now, but I had to use some gorilla glue epoxy to glue the sleeve in place near the interior lock mechanism. Prior to gluing, even with the included zip ties, the sleeve was shifting and wasn't activating the lock mechanism when I pulled the cable. But for $30 plus a minor amount of jerry-rigging, it's a cool little interior lock pull. I'd still recommend it.

I had a similar issue, once installed it worked for a bit but then it didn't. I ended up using 2 more zip ties by the locking mechanism to help keep the sleeve in place, so far it's working.

How's Dobinson ride quality with empty bed and nothing behind?

It's good. Firm but not harsh. I do have King shocks as well.
My DC Tundra w/ 6.5 bed has a thick Rhino liner (?? lbs), Leer cap (200+ lbs), rack (50+ lbs) and awning (40 lbs?). That's "empty". I guess, Dobinson won't feel much harsher with that preload?

ARB OME shocks in back, too.

Yeah I bet it would work well for you. You can hit up Mike @ Exit Offroad too, he's always been really helpful when I had questions and can guide you in the right direction for leaf springs

Oh boy. I did the transmission fluid, engine oil and all 4 oxygen sensors. I had to remove the front ARB, and full RCI Skid plate to make things easier. The previous owner didn't install the catalytic converter protection that came with it, but did pass it on to me. So, I took the opportunity to install those and got rid of the rattle that hunting season had left me. I fought the driver side upstream sensor for about 2 hours. It cracked free and spun a whole revolution and then....felt like it was galled. So, a whole lot of confined space, awkwardly positioned back and forth to get it out. Then I cut 2 notches perpendicular to the threads of the rear sensor and used it to chase the threads. It all worked out, lost a little thread material from the old sensor, the bung, however, was in good shape. The other 3 came out with relative ease. The transmission took forever to fill. after about a quart and a half I pulled the fill tube to find out it had a twist, Lol. undoing that made for a much nicer fill rate.
