I found it on Craigslist in Chicago a little while ago. Hard to find and been searching for 3 years for one. Right place at right time. Yeah I hope she's my lil wheeling buddy. 
Spent the weekend doing a 5 speed swap in my 4Runner. Want to give a huge thanks to roger for the use of his shop, all his help and toughing it out through the heat, also a huge thanks to Andy for all your help couldn't have got it with the help from both of you.

Haven't got drive it yet, still have a couple lose ends to tie up. Hopefully I'll get to move it around a little today.
Thats awesome Jason. Did you do a crawlbox or anything while you were at it?
No crawl box, I figured learning how to wheel a 5 speed again will be challenge enough.
We are both in the same boat. I'm already imagining going up a steep hill from a dead stop in the 40

I changed the oil in the 4runner today. First vehicle project at the barn. It was an adventure. I got to get some kind of system going in that madness. Only thing I really couldn't find was my funnel, so I cut an oil bottle in half and used that.
Where do I start???....
Took the truck in for some routine maintenance but ended up:
- Tightening all three steering box mounting bolts on the frame
- Tightening both heim joint bolts on the tie rod
- Tightening the pitman arm nut
- Retightening the DS front wheel bearings that were quite loose... but only after...
- Completely removing and reassembling the DS spindle (which turned out to be more of the movement than the bearings)
- Removed and re-locktite'd all the steering arm studs on the PS knuckle that were loose yet again
- During the stud maintenance, found that the Marlin steering arm was, once again, cracked 2/3 through, so removed that again, but this time added a piece of 1/2" steel rod as a sort of gusset
- Added chafing guards to my new 30" limiting straps that I installed yesterday
- Swapped bumpstops again because the recent brand new ones only lasted one trip
- Swapped on some 3" rear spacers from the 1.5"... just because my buddy had them sitting there to try out
* After all that, I drove home and got the crawler up to 45mph for the first time in years! Coulda gone higher but there's only 1/3 of a mile between my place and the 4WD shop that all this work took place at. And the speed limit is only 40 anyway. Next weekend I'll get a shot at open road: During the WEROCK event I'm going to, the local town allows the wheelers to drive their rigs on the street between "town" and the event area four miles away.

We drove down to ATL and hooked up with @beno and came back with a 4runner loaded down with several hundred pounds of AWESOMENESS!
Came back with a full 4" SLEE setup including arms, less one bitchy front shock that got cut up and left in GA, a rebuilt, spool'd low geared t-case, 3 birfs (one brand new), spare front axle shafts and a bunch of other awesome 80 tidbits. There are a couple of misc. things that we didn't get to, but overall it was an awesome weekend. Also got to hang out with @BMThiker and @Sam Stewart on friday for dinner.

The 4Runner is riding low and after bouncing off the bump-stops all the way home from ATL, this weekend will see the installation of the new springs and shocks onto the T4R.
Good times with some great folks.

Joel, @beno has it listed and it was still attached to the front of the 80 when we were there this weekend. Not sure if it is spoken for. I am sure he would post a picture for you if you asked real nice. Not to speak ill of it, but it has been used for it's intended purpose and while it is still solid and all there, pretty it ain't. Solidness was verified when we lifted the whole front end up to get the front springs out on Saturday, that middle bar never budged and makes a helluva jack point

Worked on finishing up the interior pieces from the trans swap. It not perfect but I don't think it looks to bad.
I checked my rear bumpstops tonight....
Yep, sitting straight on them with the slee stuff loaded in the back. Gonna have to get some of that stuff out of there in the morning before I leave for work.

Everything went smooth and everything seems to be working as it should, now it's time to get it out and try it in the woods.
