Pulled the runner out of hibernation and we went to AOP . Had a outstanding time with the GA crew (Ted , John , Nick , Sid and Tony ).

Really don't understand why more STLCA members are not burning that place up . But oh well , I'll help support our local wheelin parks .

We have a club ride scheduled there on Nov. 14-15. This will be our annual meeting so hope for good turn out.

Been fixing some of the problems that developed on the Utah trip. Built a new battery box, a just giving things a general check.
Also started a project I've been wanting to get to, my storage box / sleep platform.

I stumbled across the plywood at the land fill and along with some other scrap stuff I had laying around at this point I have all of about $20 invested.

Are your back seats out? That's a pretty neat setup. Is the short one a drawer? The taller one will make a nice spot to set a buddy heater for cold weather sleeping.

Yes the back seats are removed, I've had the seat bases set up for quick removal for a couple years, they spent less time in than out with the backs folded down, I decided to take everything out so I could build storage the way I wanted to.
The short side is a drawer, at least for now, if I come across a sealed box that fits that spot I may switch to that.
And evidently great minds think alike because the plan for the top of the the big box is a place to set my BUDDY HEATER.
Thanks for the kind words.

Pulled the 2F out of the 40 on Friday and dropped it off for over haul. Today, I got a small start on cleaning parts/painting part for re-installation when the engine is done in 6-8 weeks.

Glad to see you moving forward Ted, can't wait to see the new version of "smashed potato".

Thanks J - exterior aint gonna look a lot different but all the important stuff should be.

It's a mini Frankin 80 .

Going to be done by New Years ?

with the cab, yes. The rest of of the truck...no! Probably not gonna make the NY ride this year but we'll see.

Thought I'd get and finish a few projects on the 4Runner to get it ready for the New Years ride, started to put a few things back together under the hood and discovered a rodent of some sort had decided to feast on the wiring harness, I spent several hours splicing wires back together, still need to finish the projects I set out to do.

that thing is going to kill you
