After almost 2 years of tearing it down and back up today I drove the toy out of the shop under its own power. Still some things to do but here she is.:beer:

I changed out my Rt-Fr hub bearing assembly. I changed the driver side a few thousand miles back and finally got around to doing this side. I also discovered the 4 wheels I had on the truck are different from OEM 80 series wheels. I bought the 4 wheels from one seller and they fit my truck fine, but the 5th wheel I bought that has Toyota markings on it does not clear my front calipers. It fits the rear axle without issue. I will have to shave the wheel or the calipers or both to remedy this.

Sold the '95 FZJ...

Took the 62 out for a spin and to check the engine temp. It did great, even with the AC blasting away. Now to get some mech guages installed and figure out what's going on with my alt/wires/fusiable link.

Well, I'm supposed to get a headliner installed along with a new windshield and rear cargo rubber - but - the glass store just called and said they don't have the windshield rubber and it is probably too late to get it - even though I confirmed with them twice that we were "good to go."

Sounds like Glass Doctor did not "fix your panes"... That does suck, even with the pun...

got a new A/C compressor coming along with a full bushing kit for front sway bar and front/rear leaf springs that will all be installed next week...maybe the knuckle rebuild kit that i've had for the past year too if i'm not feeling too lazy.

Replaced 3 of 4 break pads last night on the 62. outboard pad on the passenger side will not go in because the top piston will not move back into the caliper. It won't budge...what now?

Even with a C clamp? Did you also remove the master cylinder cap?

Even with a C clamp?I'll try that when I get home from work. Had no problems with the driver side though. Did you also remove the master cylinder cap? No. But I will tonight.

Thanks!

finished install of new stereo head unit in the 100 series by installing the ONLY known fit kit trim piece made in the United States for a LX470 when you stick aftermarket head unit (D-DIN) into the dash in place of the Nakamichi...

Cylinder is seized. I removed the caliper and did everything I could think of to push it back in...nothing. I've ordered a reman from O'Reily for 35 bucks.

Same thing happened to Bertha last summer on the way to URE. Her brakes locked up on one wheel and it was a exciting moment or two along the route up there. We happened to find a Napa not far from there that had the part in stock. Glad you got it figured out before the excitement got to be too much.
