I got exposed to the Rona so I have to quarantine this week. Luckily I just ordered a knuckle bearing kit from Cruiser Outfitters for my 78' 40. Also put on a aftermarket gear reduction starter. Complete difference from the original. Spins so much faster

Have a working rear windshield wiper now. Turns out it wasn’t the wiper motor but a cut wire in the loom from the body to the tailgate. Also, new diverter valve and washer fluid pump. I can see!

Inspired by @scott johnson I filled in the L on an LX450 cap with epoxy, sanded, painted, and stuck a sticker from @jamesurq /Reefmonkey on it. This was the finishing touch after removing the cancer laden chrome wheel I had that wouldn’t hold air at the bead.

Both knuckles finished and new brake lines. If anyone tries this themselves be sure to take note on your original shim location. I decided I need to replace tie rod ends so waiting on those to come in.

Knocked out both front wheel hub assemblies found a leak in the radiator. Do we get a discount from Toyota of Greenville? I know I could do it it’s just a messy job.

I feel So damn fancy. I wonder what the peasants are doing with their cracked leather and aftermarket seat covers? Two new seats, door pads and center console. Added 3/8 memory foam to the surfaces. Makes a nice feel. First seat was slow but second went much better.

Lol....slow and steady but yes, I am finally making some progress. Hopefully it will look as good as yours when I’m done!

No doubt, yours will be amazing. I recall that you were considering a crawler build but also considering a garage queen. Have you decided one way or the other? Mine is certainly the latter, but I think my wife is going to force the sale of my 80... Therefore the 40 will pick up some trail duty.
